Т-72А — это усовершенствованная модификация легендарного танка Т-72. В частности в башне теперь применялась комбинированная броня, вместо литой. Также усилена защита верхней лобовой детали, установлен лазерный дальномер, и другие модернизации. Модификация производилась с 1979 года.

The T-72A is an improved modification of the legendary T-72 tank. In particular, the turret now used combined armor, instead of cast.
