The back bone of ARNs 2nd armada and feared all threw out the inner rim of the galaxy, the Aquiline, and the rest of her class. are Heavy destroyers made to hunt down and carve apart enemy capital ships, which they accel at, with only the toughest armor SDI can create being able to withstand the powerful lasers of the Aquiline.

during the Alarian war, Aquilines carved a bloody path threw SDI ships, however, ironically it would be an Aquiline that lead SDI to victory, as early on, a destroyed Aquiline was salvaged by SDI, and its laser systems and energy shields being reversed engineered, giveing the humans of SDI a big technological boost and eventually, victory
