Description
This mod adds cavalry sabres to the game.

These swords are heavier, and more durable than the machete and katana, do more damage than the machete but less than the katana.
They can spawn rarely in the world. They can be repaired, but not be crafted (this may not apply to B42 version, not sure that long blade repair is implemented yet, if ever - notes in the game files imply some debate)

For B42: Although there are now 11 swords in the game (including the cavalry sabre) most of them are no stronger than the machete, while the katana is still a beast in comparison. The Cavalry Sabre mod's sabre adds the same balance as in the B41 version in this regard.

Ahhh that's fair enough and I don't blame you. B42's more fun anyways even if we're still waiting on that multiplayer.

@Bermuda - I don't plan on making any chances to the B41 versions of my mods. They were all working fine last time I checked, and as B41 hasn't recieved any changes or updates, they still should be. I really don't wanna go through the time-consuming process of downgrading to B41 just to tweak something a little bit, then suffer the same restoring back to B42, and then having to work out all the issues the game has after restoring back to B42. :(

I'd love for this to be able to be stowed on the belt instead of the back in B41, I did read that you'd made that an option in B42 but yannow, while it is more realistic for what we do in zomboid (I doubt that a belt-stowed weapon is very comfortable in a car seat) is there any way for you to make that change?

@FatShamer13 - My guess is you've just been unlucky with the random condition lower chance. The durability has not changed at all since the initial upload ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For some reason it just seems that the durability is much lower on the sword in this update and even with maxed out maintenance, long blade, etc, the saber wears down way too fast to be a serious viable weapon choice and more like a novelty toy to use for a few easy kills.

What's the exact damage it does? Wiki says machete is 2-3 and katana 8-8
