Description

This mod adds a range of custom eye color genes. Vanilla factions that don’t already have custom eyes will get eye colors based on their unique traits.

It includes an autopatcher that gives eyes to xenotypes without existing patches. It’s not perfect, but it makes sure everyone has eyes. There’s also an autopatcher for baseliners. Both features can be turned off in the settings.

Eyes will not show up in genepacks

Recommend Mods
Recommended to use this mod with Camera+ as the eyes will be small and hard to see the details.

would it be possible for instead of the feline and reptile eyes being black slits in the circles, what if they were colored slits similar to rimworld's original eyes? they just kinda creep me out lol

I see, oh well im looking forward to trying 1.6 when mods stabilize

@NobodyATL, unfortunately just for 1.6, as 1.5 is mostly just LTS not so much active work.

Thanks a lot! :D is this change going to be 1.6 exclusive or also for 1.5?

@NobodyATL, Have just updated this mod, to remove the genes from genepacks, will be running these updates to other mods as well

I will also look into the genepack one as well, there might be a way for me to add that as an option you can turn off and on

@nobodyATL, I am looking into a way to possibly turn off the the bloat and have less color variation, but more then likely there will be a secondary mod called 'LITE" which will have only 2 of each category

This mod series especially the eyes have a habit of bloating the gene packs making finding worthwhile stuff on the painful side. (iirc almost every gene pack has eyes for some reason)

is there anything that could be done about this?

@worgensnack, a mod config has been added to turn off the autopatching

Heyo @Joren ,I have just pushed a new update to the mod which allows you to turn off autopatching for mods that are not patched, and allows you to turn off patching for baseliners, by default these settings are on, but can be turned off in the mod settings, note you will need to restart the game for the effects to change.
