Hunger Mod

Description
Makes you get hungry and die.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
This mod won't do anything unless if replace some files in your game. Here's what you have to do:

Grab this zip: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lTTdke_OMezbSWDB43L9rosZMcbnpCvG/view?usp=sharing
Navigate to your Dredmor game files.
Extract the zips contents into DoD's files (You will be replacing a folder, and two of the files within)
You're done!

What the modified files do is modify the starting room so that the hunger item spawns in there, and modify the sfx file so that you can hear the voice that tells you you need to eat food.

What the mod itself does:
You start with an item that activates hunger. Using it will give you another item (hold onto this! you'll need to use it to reactivate hunger whenever you reload your game. Don't worry, you'll get another one when you use it.)
Hunger has a chance to increase whenever you perform actions in the dungeon.
Satiation has a chance to increase whenever you're well fed and perform actions in the dungeon.
Being stuffed is bad. Don't eat too much.
Eating well is good for you! You'll be stronger and recover health faster.
Fasting is the way of the monk. It also makes you irritable and makes your spells go haywire a little bit more.
But if you fast too much, you'll start to starve, which will lower your maximum health with every step.
You can recover from starvation if you eat food though.
While you're well fed, you won't starve or have your hunger increase.

I think hunger is a good mechanic for roguelikes to have. Either that or some other form of timer to force players to move along.
When I'm playing Dredmor, I find myself doing tedious nonsense and cheese because there's nothing to stop me. Maybe try out this mod if you find yourself doing the same thing and want more of a challenge?
By the way, feel free to play with the mods code if you want to make it more or less difficult. There's two percentages in the spell database you can change that should easily let you tweak things.

Please let me know of any bugs or oddities or anything about this mod you think is horrible or great.

KNOWN ISSUES:
-You can't use hunger and vampirism at the moment. I could make some more changes to core files to fix this though. I *might* be able to fix it without making changes to core files, but I doubt it.
-You don't seem to regain satiation on the same turn you're eating? Example: If you eat food, and then start hoovering down lutefisk, you won't gain any satiation. (AFAIK. I could be wrong, but this is the experience I've had so far.)

Unfortunately, it seems that the game still uses the 75% & 3% chance file when starting a new game using this mod after I put the file to Mods folder after unsubscribing from Steam workshop.

Oh well, thanks for the help anyway.

oh shit good point
yeah uh
alright, you're gonna have to copy the mod (which you've apparently already found lol.) to documents/gaslamp games/dungeons of dredmor/mods)
and then unsubscribe from this mod so that you dont have a duplicate
should hopefully work
keep me posted

I also saw your comments in Spell.xml file of this mod that we can tweak the two percentages for balancing. However, I can't seem to stop Steam from auto-retrieving the original mod file from servers when I launch DoD, may I ask if you know of a way to stop this process? Otherwise, changing the percentages in local Mod Spell.xml file doesn't seem to work.

Love this idea. However, I personally feel that the hunger increase rate is too fast, which makes me had to eat all the foods that I can find without a stockpile to use later for crafting.
