Not sure but it might be modded, at the moment the thrusters require 2 spaces exhaust, or it was in a previous build without that limit.

Focused only on laser and missile range, havok duration and cooldown, engines, and reactors. That, and the final mission research bonus, was roughly enough. ...and a *lot* of Neutronium.
