Description
BACKGROUND
While the decrepit exterior of this 1959 built tramp steamer may suggest a vessel ready for the scrap yard, the M.V. Cochrane is a marvel of modern technology. Launched in January 2023, the Cochrane is the latest vessel of OMUA (Oceanic Marine Underwater Agency), a (fictional) multinational marine and research agency. Built specifically for critical research operations in hostile waters or where secrecy is vital, the M.V. Cochrane houses an array of equipment, technology and secret areas, all disguised under the cloak of a derelict. There are two parts to the ship: a disguised fake area, intended to fool authorities or intruders, and a luxurious secret area, intended for the crew to live and operate. A massive interior moon pool houses a minisub and ROV, with controls in the nearby lab. A secret helicopter hanger and RHIB launch are located on the rear deck. The accommodations include a swimming pool, shooting range, luxury suites, armory and mess hall. An elevator connects all the secret areas, and access to the secret areas are only available through hidden passages. As with all OMUA vessels, all systems are designed to be operated by a 1-man crew, in case of emergencies. A standard operations crew of 16 and up to 30 other staff.

TIPS
  • There are many secret passages and secret buttons to access the hidden areas!
  • The ship is designed to be able to be disembarked with a helicopter or skiff while it is on Autopilot. The AP system has a timer to allow disembarkation, as well as a toggle-able "Boat Launch Sensor" and "Helipad Landing Sensor" that allow for your return onto the ship assuming it has not reached its destination and stopped. These toggle-able buttons enable a laser, that if crossed with your helicopter or boat, will stop the ship, allowing you to board.

Nope, limitations of a compact design

is there a way to get the ROV and the glider out of the moonpool without having to drive the sub out?

Hey 454SS just thought that I would inform you that the Jet Engines become damaged when the afterburner is used as sometimes I believe they come into contact with the water which causes this.

Is there a way to charge the Jeeps Battery? I've looked all over the jeep and never saw an electrical cable port anywhere on it
