Description
Overview
This is a collection of some of the mods I like to use when I play Dungeons of Dredmor. The idea behind this collection is to expand on the vanilla gameplay experience, while also adding some extra mechanics to spice up the gameplay. These mods will greatly increase the room variety, add a bunch of very sassy monsters (including some secret minibosses), some new items, and a means to recycle a lot of that excess gear you keep hoarding in your pocket dimension.

For a simpler experience, check out my other collection, A Slightly More Basic Mod Pack.

What's Included?
Here's a brief description of all the mods in this collection, sorted roughly by most to least impact to your gameplay (based on Workshop page descriptions):
  • Monstrous Megapack: 6 new monster types, 7 optional minibosses with hidden puzzles to trigger them, 120+ new items, 120+ new rooms (some with puzzles or secrets inside)
  • ASCII Invasion: 50 monsters and 17 minibosses, all with unique spells/abilities; 58 rooms; 82 items; 180 monster taunts
  • Advanced Craft'n'Smelt: 435 recipes across crafting classes, focusing on meltdown recipes to get crafting materials out of vanilla gear; 31 new items (crafting recipes included)
  • Roguish Renovation: 100+ rooms, 100+ crafting recipes, 100+ items, monsters, more flavor text, 4 skills
  • Interior Dredmorating: rooms, wall art, flavor text, and a handful of items
  • More Dred (Item Pack): 80+ items (mostly late-game)
  • More Rooms Mod: 33 rooms
  • More Fountains: 36 effects added to fountains' random pool + potions for each effect
  • Dungeon Life: 10 rooms for floors 1-10 filled with loot and monsters [slightly unbalanced]
  • Ultra Library!: 1 room with 34 bookshelves [spawns only on level 1]
  • Death By A Thousand Taunts: 3450 monster taunts
  • Have you heard this one?: 350+ monster taunts
  • Jay's Mega Phoneme Mod: phonemes (syllables added to the random name generator for artifacts)
The intended experience is to play with all of these mods at once, but you can pick and choose depending on your preferences. The only two changes I might suggest:
  • If you don't want an influx of hidden crafting recipes right out the gate, disable Ultra Library.
  • If you don't want a random chance of finding a ton of crafting materials in a single room, disable Dungeon Life.

DLC Requirements
The DLC requirements for each mod vary, but just to be safe, make sure you have all 3 DLC packs before using these mods.

Incompatibilities
As far as I'm aware, there should be no conflicts between the mods you'll find in this pack. However, there are a few mods outside of this pack that you should remove if you plan to subscribe to everything here.

Included in this pack are two unofficial versions of popular mods that have received updates/fixes by a third party, as their original authors appear to have dropped support. You can remove the original versions of the following if you have them:
  • ASCII Invasion
  • Roguish Renovation Megapack [v0.63]
If you have the following skills as individual mods, you can remove them as they are now included in Roguish Renovations:
  • Arcanist
  • Blood Knight
  • Radiant Wizard
  • Witcher

Disclaimer
The use of mods in this game--even mods from the Workshop--historically comes with the risk of corrupting or deleting your save files. To reduce the chance of a "Lutefisk Cube inside a Lutefisk Cube" level catastrophe, please read the following:
  1. Do not add/remove any mods in the middle of a run. Always create a fresh save file when changing out the mods you use, even if it's just the simpler ones.
  2. Make sure to save often, and manually back up your save files on a semi-regular basis (e.g. every time you reach a new floor). Save files are usually located at:
    C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Documents\Gaslamp Games\Dungeons of Dredmor\<YourCharacterName>
  3. If your save file is corrupted, it's possible that it can be recovered depending on whether or not a broken mod file was responsible. You can refer to the guide here for instructions on several methods to try and fix corrupted saves.

Big thanks to everyone who worked on these mods, and best of luck in your next dungeon crawl!
