Found in Star Salvage as one of the junk CVs you can restore, I took this ship, restored its hull gutted the interior and retrofitted this 'Starter' CV to a nimble little combat corvette capable of taking down Tovera Class Dreadnoughts!

The Core Hunter is completely over thrusted, on full power its too difficult to control so the sliders in the stats panel have been adjusted to make it more controllable. However, with all this speed and manoeuvrability it can easily run rings around any Zirax craft and most enemies in the galaxy.
To defeat anything, simply hold space and Q or E while maintaining forward aim on the target, use W & S to get yourself about 700m - 600m from the target.
Use the laser cannons to drop the enemy shields and then use the rocket launchers to either snipe the core if you know its location or pick off turrets one by one. Eventually your target will be defeated and if you have done it right, your shields should still be up.

Do not let your shields drop in combat. Although there is a small amount of Xenu armor on the nose its not enough to rely on and is more of an emergency protection layer. This ship has no armour!
