A NSW 81 Class Loco

Info
The NSW 81 class Loco operated by Pacific national, is extensively used throughout Nsw, Australia for freight transport. There where 83 built between 1982-1991 by Clyde Engineering to replace the old 1950s 42 and 44 class Locos. They where consequently numbered 8101-8183. This Loco is Numbered 8184 to represent a fictive next locomotive and was built in conjunction with Sparkar's train 8259. The 81 class loco's sport a two-stroke V-16 Diesel engine to power the diesel electric system bringing the loco to its top speed of 115kph. The 8184 has a straight 16 3x3 modular engine driving a large generator to power its 12 medium electric motors for optimal hauling power and a top speed of 120kph (115 for maximum efficiency).

Operation
1. Close Main and Generator Breakers
2. Operate Engine Key
3. Ensure Brake is Released
4. Throttle up and Go!
5. The Gear Lever allows the operation of the 3 speeds

Slave System
1. Cab switching can be done from either end
2. To operate slave system set ONE loco to Slave Master and others to Slave Follower
3. Engines wished to be unused but towed can be left with engine off, no throttle/brake and with no master/follower

IMPORTANT
Slave master must be on for compatible braked rail cars.

Known Issues
- Slightly Broken Wheel slip when parked
