Historical Colonization

Description
This mod is intended to mimic the historical colonization. This will impact the rate and location of colonization.

It can be played with all or without any DLCs.

********************************
Significant changes are outlayed below.

* AI for Non-iberian Countries will not select exploration idea group until 1560.

* Put guardrails on colonization location by major powers. (i.e. AI countries will only colonize areas that have trade nodes that feed into home nodes) (i.e. Spain will no longer colonize Canada/East Coast of America)
** Inspiration/credit to gabadur's mod

* Since European Colonization was nerfed, tribes also had to be nerfed too. Tribes are restricted to settling down until 1580. This should prevent large federations from dominating NA before European arrival.

* Portugal AI was hard coded to never pick expansion idea for historical accuarcy. It is unlikely mainland Portugal would be able to support a large scale colonial empire. A colonist was added to their national ideas for loss of the idea group.
** (Side Note) Portugal and Spain are hardcoded to always pick expansion and exploration ideas groups first. This was the main cause of rapid colonization.

* AI Colonial Subjects will never recieve a colonist. Colonist Subject Manpower and Land/Naval force limit multipliers of -75% are applied.

* Decreased some bonus to local settler increases from national ideas or idea groups

* Severe Winter will occur settler growth penalty

* Various countries had historical idea groups modified to prevent a historical colonization

********************************
Feedback will be helpful. I've tested these modifications over a handful of games. Growth seems to be realistic through 1550s. Continuously looking at tweaks to slow down colonization for later periods. Specifically interested in North America, Africa, and Pacific regions.

I never had an issue with CN aggressively expanding into natives, however they have the problem of never declaring independence from their leaders, maybe that can help with historicity as well?

not the kind to ask for an update but it looks like it needs one, also i enjoy playing CNs sometimes so i dont like the debuffs, also because people said it caused early death for AI CN

Looks like this mod breaks some of the latests dlc features such as Byzantine's wall buffs(they simply dont apear in specific provinces). It probably breaks some other new mechanics as well

Managed to find a workaround to the -75% debuff for anyone else interested in getting rid of it.

Go to: Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\236850\2910379560\common\static_modifiers
Open the .txt file and find where it says " crown_colony_subject = { " change the -0.75 on land_forcelimit modifier, manpower modifier and naval_forcelimit modifier to 1.00, this will revert the force limit for all colonial nations back to vanilla.

Do the same for " self_governing_colony_subject = { " it is right underneath the crown colony subject line

Mod is almost perfect, just requires colonial nations not to have a -75% debuff to its force limit. Colonial nations are completely handicapped while the AI struggles to keep them safe, New Castile in Mexico was constantly being attacked by natives and left completely powerless

colonial nations get so nerfed they are bullied by natives. I kept having to enforce peace which of course the AI isn't smart enough to do. AI Spain, Portugal lost all their colonies by 1600.
