Description
--- New Beginnings ---
- By Team Spirit -

This mod adds in player origins (or backgrounds), which allow you to start a new player off with different max life, mana, items, or even world changes like a different spawn.
These are all accessible by default through the character creation screen; a little button next to the player name switches the menu to player origin mode.
From then on, choose whichever background you like and enjoy!

There are also a bunch of unlockable origins - play more to discover how to unlock these.

Usually the description would tell you.

is there an easy way to tell which ones change gameplay and which ones just change starting items?

Custom Origin option seems to have quite a few bugs related to the UI or the way the Origin is saved on the character:

1. When creating a Custom character there seems to be almost a guarantee that the Health and Mana will be defaulted to whatever Origin was picked in the list previously. Not picking the Origin before opening Custom seems to just default to the Purist

2. When the origin defaults to another the amount of items seems to break and then defaulting to only 1 (no 2000 cobwebs for me :c)

3. Fargo's Mods (my guess the Souls mod specifically but i dunno) seems to somehow conflict with the UI used for picking Items, causing the game to crash when the search bar is in use

Sometimes the function works as intended but I spent like 6 hours yesterday trying to figure out what exactly breaks it in the first place but I really have no idea

I really like the mod btw! Tho I wish there was more Origins that Permanently change the playthrough like Confused or Australian

It would be lovely if classes had additional abilities/making max stats more impactful/making the stats changes more unique such as speed for less tanky classes and perhaps server switch of making a class more vanilla(or just having items from mods) and the more impactfull side like making alchemist [actually usable] have an ability of mixing potions on the go and adding an inventory stash for herbs wich separates him from druid who would use mana to throw a puffs of purification powder/making him able to make hallow Pre-Hard and adding a layer of complexity behind choosing roles for the server.

Also love the mod keep the good work :reheart: :reheart: :reheart:

I already sent it to you on GitHub. If there's any mistake, contact me, since it's my first time using GitHub.

I would strongly prefer adding that translation to the mod directly! This is much easier for us as a team to handle, for players to use and for you to update & keep proper.
