Wax Cylinders can be only found in the Blood Moon difficulty.
They are used to save progress at a Phonograph.
Once you save a Cylinder will be consumed.

The guide is in chronological order.

There is 2 Cylinders located next to the Phonograph and the Cane Sword.

One Cylinder is found in the little hut just before entering the mines.

Note: This area is bugged and can't be accessed as of now. Only way to get is using 'noclip' console command.

Once you arrive at 'Cargo Hold B' go down the ramp and turn right. You'll see a locked trap door. Open it and go down, a Cylinder will be there.

There is 1 located on the shelf next to the apples.

The next one is behind a locked door.

To get the key you need to sneak past or deal with some fish dogs.
You will find a large gap, climb down there, or jump down to the water.

Next to the sleeping dog, you'll find the Mines Storage key.

Then backtrack to the locked door and reap your rewards.

After leaving the mine, you can find 2 Cylinders on the shelf next to the Phonograph.

Once you enter the Tavern, there will be one Cylinder next to the Phonograph.

Explore the Tavern's second floor (you can also use a button for the basement elevator for a shortcut). There you can find a lever wich lowers the stair to the attic.

Go up to the attic, turn right, and move forward. You'll find a dresser.
Open the bottom drawer to find your Cylinder.

After leaving the Tavern, there is 1 Cylinder on the shelf opposite of the Phonograph.
(This one can be acquired before the Tavern, if you go around it)

Once you enter the lighthouse, there will be 2 Cylinders next to the Phonograph.

To the left of the cannon, there is a spiral staircase. Go up, turn left and you find a Cylinder.

Once you enter the City you will see a shop. In the Employes Only room you'll find 1 Cylinder next to the Phonograph.

After venturing a bit deeper you'll find a Gun Shop.
Inside the shop will be an elevator.
If you have a button insert it into the top slot and go upstairs.

Opening the gate to the Emerald Terrace will lead us to the Merchant's shop.
Going up the elevator, there is an Empolyes Only building.
Inside you'll find a gate, open it with the valve. Next to the machinery is one Cylinder.

Inside the shop we can buy one for 250 Gold.

Goings upstairs we can find our saferoom.
There will be 2 Cylinders next to the Phonograph.

Leaving our saferoom, a stairway to the attic will lower. Revealing the Mirror World Fast Travel.
An area in the Fishery can be only accessed by using said Mirror World.

After going through the mirror, there will be two keys on the keyholder.
One of them opens the watchtower located on top of the Fishery.
Once inside, there is a Cylinder on the table.

Note: The Underport area is way more open than the previous ones, with a lot of alternate paths, shortcuts etc. Therefore, my order of finding them might be different from yours.

After entering the Underport, there will be a building on your left with a Phonograph inside.
In a drawer nearby you will find a Cylinder.

Moving forward, you will eventually find yourself at the 'Van Der Meer Shipping & Receiving Co.' building. Nearby, in an archway, you'll find your next Phonograph and a Cylinder next to it.

Inside the Shipping Co. building, on the 'Storage' area's second floor (the one with red rugs), you'll find a doorway leading outside. You are going to find a rope, climb down, and inside the 'Supplies' shack you'll find a Cylinder.

Go back to the 'Storage' and go through the other doorway which will lead you to a stairway. Once at Level 3, move forward, then you'll find a chest with a Heal Tonic, a Flashbomb and a Cylinder.


Once you reach the 'Lampfire Electric Co.', right before it you can find a small building with a Phonograph and a Cylinder inside.

After shutting down the power. Go back to the 'Shipping Co.' building. Inside you'll find the Manager's office open. The Cylinder is on the table.

After entering, turn left and you'll see the 'Control Room'. You'll find the key in the #1 tunnel, next to a corpse.

When you arrive at 'Gate A' turn left to the 'Monitoring Station'. You'll find a room with a Phonograph. Next to it are three lockers, one Cylinder will be inside one.

After getting the Harpoon Gun and exploring further. You'll find the 'Fuel Storage' room. The Cylinder will be on a shelf on the right side of the room.

After surviving the lift ambush and escaping the Hive. 2 Cylinder will be waiting for you next to a Phonograph.

After dealing with the Hive, previous areas change a bit.
A Cylinder is located next to the first Phonograph (Same place as Fishery Cylinder - #1 & #2).

Go back to the roof and up the watchtower.
A Cylinder is located on the desk (Same place as Fishery Cylinder #5).

An area in the Tavern's attic can be only accessed by a roof entrance.
You can climb the roof multiple ways.

1. Using the Harpoon Gun to make ropes to climb

2. Using the Batbeast research passive trait (increased jump height) or Batbeast serum to climb up. I managed to climb with only passive by using the lamp post and the tavern sign.

After you managed to climb up, enter and turn right. You'll find a Cylinder in a cabinet.
Go back to the basement and you'll find a Clyinder (Same place as Tavern Cylinder - #1).
