This wasn't a funded "Triple A" product to be sold to YOU specifically. This was made by a fan with a love for halo, and a drive to include aspects of gaming and lore that they love into the video game that they love. You don't have to treat every halo fan project as something being sold to you specifically for your specific critique.
Like, of course the creator knows this mod has stuff from H2, H3, H4 ported into H1. Obviously. They're the ones that made that happen. That's their vision. So it's easy to assume that they consider that stuff to still be "halo", or they don't care if the mod is truly "halo". Either way it doesn't matter. It's a mod, with a TON of work put into it, made by a passionate fan. And that's awesome.
but it doesn't work well in Halo, it's literally the opposite of the bungie's philosophy they had for Halo for the gameplay loop AND for the artistic direction
it's make me think of SPV3 which have the same problem
it's like puting a lot of work and idea in a shaker, shake the hell of it and tada here is the result but without any idea of what make Halo "Halo" with an really ugly chief
it's a good mod, a fun one, but not for everyone
i don't want to be rude for the modders, but this mod feel like great meal, but without the spice
