Škoda 57E/57Er (Uhelka)

Description
The 122 series locomotive is an electric locomotive for a DC power system designed for freight transport. It was produced by the Pilsen company Škoda in 1967 under the factory designation Škoda 57e and belongs to the Czechoslovak electric locomotives of the so -called 1st generation. In connection with the increasing volume of transport, a series of slightly modified 123 series was produced a few years later.
Initially, these locomotives also served in passenger transport, with gradual supply of electrical units and locomotives at higher speeds, but were withdrawn and concentrated exclusively from these procedures. Since 2007, all existing locomotives have been owned by ČD Cargo freight carrier. Most locomotives lasted in operation for almost half a century; The first major knockout came in 2015 thanks to the purchase of locomotives of the 163 series and later also Siemens Vectron. At present, it is one of the oldest series of electric locomotives ČD Cargo and in the coming years it should be gradual reduction.

The 123 series locomotive is an electric locomotive designed for freight transport. It was produced in 1971 by the Pilsen company ŠKODA (type designation Škoda 57e) for Czechoslovak State Railways. He is one of the Czechoslovak locomotives of the so -called 1st generation.

The 124 series locomotive is an electric locomotive for a DC current used especially in tests on the test circuit at Velimi. It was made by the Pilsen company Škoda in 1971 (type Škoda 57er) in a single prototype. It belongs to the Czechoslovak locomotives of the so -called 1st generation.
In the early 1970s, a series of locomotives of the 350 series for the ČSD and the derived machines for Soviet railways SŽD was prepared in Škoda, where brand new technologies and construction units were to be used. These were mainly new generation chassis for speeds up to 200 km/h. In order to try these solutions in practice, it was decided to modify one locomotive from the 123 series currently produced for test purposes. The locomotive of today's 124 series was produced as the last piece of the 123 series and was marked according to the then marking system as E 469.3030, later briefly E 499.2001i and since 1988 according to the UIC 124.601-6 system. The conventional 123 machines were mainly distinguished by the chassis of the new type and also with more powerful traction motors, allowing high speeds to achieve.
