I love that it's all handwritten. It gives a real genuine air to it. All craftsmanship is of the highest quality. The writing is cheerful. Overall, the prose is great.

no, you must've accidentally tried to trade stuff in wood. I do not say you did it on purpose but if you traded any wooden cargo then, it tilts them. Always have stone toys, rings, scepter, crown, jewel encrusted specific light weight furniture, cheap metal ( lead , copper ) cages with animals (you know the ones that breed crazy like horse or cow or dogs or chickens , going a little advanced would be custom crafts .If you understand what I just typed then even if you use 10 to 30 % of the information then you are good with Elves. A happy Elf often brings is the rarest mounts or war animals and much rarer type of wood instruments. They are quite valuable.

I cannot seem to trade with elfs... I only offered them stuff in copper barrels, but I think maybe they're all vegans? My fortress is optimized to crank out a million lavish meals when the trade caravan arrives, but maybe including a bunch of dead animals in the food was anathema to elfs.

Maybe I should have included that info - that's my fault. But at least there's a trail - still , I will go back to update and give the credit to both! I wouldn't have found it at all if you didn't post it so it counts.

chopping 30 trees instantly provokes the elves, you might not want to do that / reduce the number. Good job.
