Q-Tech Utilities Reinforcement 1.9

Description

Welcome to Q-Tech Utilities Reinforcement. This mod adds WeaponCore armor resistances to the blocks in the Q-Tech Utilities mod. Armor resistances will make the blocks stronger against the Energy and Kinetic damage done by all WeaponCore weapons. This mod requires WeaponCore to function, so make sure you have that mod loaded in your world. It is listed as a dependency so it should load automatically.

IMPORTANT: Update information for this mod can be found in the Change Notes tab.

Under no circumstances is this mod to be publicly re-uploaded by anyone for any reason!

The Energy and Kinetic damage resistances in this mod are set to 2. This means that weapons will only do 50% of their normal damage to the affected blocks. It is possible to customise these resistance values using the WeaponCore server configuration file. This file is automatically created when a world loads with WeaponCore in the mod list, and can be found at:

For convenience, clicking here[1drv.ms] will allow you to download a config snippet that can be inserted into the WeaponCore configuration file between the <ArmorOverride></ArmorOverride> tags. You can then change the resistance values to suit your gameplay.

@Elaura New version with selectable resists. Default is set at 2 but you can change that in the WC config file for your world save.

Of course! I was overthinking it.

@Elaura Well the Q-Tech one only affects the non-vanilla blocks in the Q-Tech utilities mod; all your other vanilla blocks, including armor, are affected by the same mod as the pirates. :steamhappy:

Ah, I see. If you reduce it for qtech, I'll have to reduce the vanilla reinforcement mod. I really don't want pirates to have better armor than me. 😀

@Elaura I would also love for it to be selectable but that's sadly outside the abilities of WC. It's hard coded in the config.

Is it possible to make it selectable? I'm sure having the choice would be better than not having it. However, it's good to hear it is 5x currently, because that's what I am using with the Vanilla Reinforcement.

@Elaura It's comparable to the x5 mod. I may look at altering that soon; I need to update it anyway with the newer blocks like the conveyors and tools. Given that all the blocks were overhauled with heavy armor amounts of steel plates I feel x5 may be overkill. I will probably drop it to x2.
Elaura 10 Feb, 2024 @ 8:17pm
Is this comparable to Vanilla Reinforcement 2, VR 3, or VR 5?

@Prometheus This mod does nothing on it's own; it requires the Q-Tech Mod Pack and WeaponCore. It's just an optional mod that integrates WeponCore's armor reinforcement functionality into the blocks already in the Q-Tech Mod Pack. It's mainly designed for players who want to also use the Vanilla Reinforcement mod in my workshop.

just for clarification to those inept to understand this has everything in q tech mod pack and then a few other things?
