Description
The naval engineering team at Lagrange Interplanetary Motorworks is proud to present the Bucephalus Supercarrier; sharing the name with the space fleet's flagship, this gargantuan ship can take a hit and dish several back in a spiked glove. The design was to be entirely practical with aesthetics as an afterthought - hence only having one elevator, as generally a second really is not needed for normal operations, especially not with a flight deck this huge. Automated spotlights are also present, and can be turned on from the bridge. These will automatically target and light up incoming enemy vessels or planes from all directions, as well as 2 spotlights being directly controllable from 2 stations in the bridge.

Armed with 9 CIWS systems (gatling turrets) that surround the flight deck, an elevator for transporting large aircraft to and from the hangar, and an armament elevator to transport missiles, rockets, fuel, and gun rounds up to the plane compliment without disturbing operations. The landing strip is also lighted and off-colored to make for easier landings, although an AoA indicator is not present, as doing so would require the addition of subgrids beyond simple elevators. There are half-slope armor plates to create a better-looking slanted landing strip, but generally these aren't a big problem to cross, and should only be dangerous on landings. Just stay away from the sides of the strip while landing - stay near the middle, and you'll be perfectly safe.

The main power source for this vessel is an array of small reactors held within an armored casing - although there is a large backup generator in the deep storage area that can be remotely turned on from the reactor control room.

A fully fleshed-out interior with dedicated senior officer quarters, general officer quarters, admiral quarters, and general crew quarters in two areas, as well as a mess hall, showers, offices, an armory, a general storage unit and deep storage unit, an onboard hospital, and a bridge deck that houses an admirals ready room and conference room in the hallway leading up to the main bridge.

All flightdeck lights can be controlled independently by 2 button stations in the bridge, and the hangar lights can be controlled via another station by the blast door separating the crew compartments from the hangar. Just keep in mind that the gatling turrets must be manually reloaded.

With a special thanks to Alec R. for giving a few pointers throughout the almost year-long journey this took to actually get completed, through many trials and tribulations, ending with me finally being happy enough with it to forcefully remove it from development hell.

@Harbinger Ace | Thanks! Was in development hell for many, many, many months so I decided to ready it up with my newer taste and just ship it out. Pun intended.
