Roo's Birthmarks and Blemishes

Description

This mod brings a bit more variety to pawn generation in Rimworld, adding 40+ natural tattoos with a more common spawn rate than standard tattoos. These tattoos, or rather, blemishes, won't change a pawn’s beauty or stats. Blemishes are entirely cosmetic. I've tried to avoid including any physical features that would adjust their stats or contradict vanilla HeDiffs in any way, such as scars.

Rare blemishes such as vitiligo won't appear as often as features like moles and small birthmarks. Like all tattoos, blemishes can be removed or applied at a styling station.

Mod also includes two ideology icons, just as an added bonus.

Works Well With:

Character Editor – Allows you to customise pawns on the fly, adding or removing blemishes whenever you like.
Cherry Picker – Remove specific blemishes that you don’t want to appear.
HD Pawn Textures - Renders pawns at full resolution.
Camera+ – Zoom in further and better see your pawns.

Q. Can I play this mod without the Ideology DLC?
A. No, the functionality of tattoos depends on Ideology.

Q. Vitiligo makes my pawn’s head look smaller.
A. Vitiligo have an odd, visual effect on pawns with narrow heads, making the outline of their head slightly thicker. I can’t pinpoint why this happens, unfortunately. You can avoid this by changing the pawn’s head type.

Q. I have a suggestion for this mod…
A. Fire away! Comment your ideas below.

Q. Can I commission you to make art for my mod / mod page?
A. Sure! I can help you with mod graphics or workshop page layouts. Just drop me a message.

It is safe to remove it from an existing save?

I would ask everyone check that they don't have mods that alter body size, as I had issues with tattoos not overlaying properly because I had body size variety enabled with Character Editor. AFAICT, all these were made with only the vanilla body shape in mind.

also some full body scars, like the lighting scars, will have black around the edges of the texture

Testing without any mods, and still experiencing an issue where some of the textures are too small for some body shapes :/

Thank you this gives pawns lots of character. Some full body textures dont quite match thier body silhouettes (they are to small) but I need more testing to make sure its not a wierd conflict.

hey, i've been using this with Nals's Facial Animation mod, paired with Oracle of Thessia's Vanilla Textures Expanded facial animation retexture, and i've noticed that the birthmarks and blemishes from this mod have had an issue where they are layered over the facial features, making the eyes and mouths slightly skin-tinted. This isn't a massive issue, but it's been bugging me. Any possibility we could get a patch for this or something?
If not, i don't mind, i just figured it might be helpful to lay this out here.

Some of the Full-body marks like Vitiligo, Lightningscars and other don't seem to fit some of the body textures they're supposed to go onto. I am using vanilla body textures and the tattoos are sometimes too small for them, so they're left with a big black border line in the middle of the map or so.
This is very similar to the Narrowhead issue stated above.

I really like the mod, so I hope a solution for it can be found.
