Report a translation problem
For future reference, here's how to know which tech if it breaks again:
In the Steam directory, go to Cosmoteer/Data/modes/career/ and open techs.rules
The techs are listed in numerical order, with the first one being ID #0. Look for cosmoteer.railgun, which is the tech that unlocks all the railgun bits. Right now, that's the 17th entry in the file, which means tech ID 16.
Then as I said before, open workshop/799600/2888617998/ and edit the mod.rules file. The second-to-last text line (the "AddTo" command) will have a number right before the /PartsUnlocked bit. Change that number to whatever you figured out above (was 9, then 12, now 16).
Also i have absoluitely no idea how to use variables in the Tech unlocks.
Spatzimaus can you tell me? I scoured the internet and didnt find anything. Presumably its some kind of secret discord knowledge
You just need to go into the mod's files (workshop/799600/2888617998) and edit the mod.rules file. It's not a large file, so finding the 9 and changing it to a 12 is easy enough. I suppose you could change it to access the "cosmoteer.railgun" variable for that ID, but it's not like the game is updated THAT often.
Any chance to make deck rail guns?
