Description
Erftlandring - Kerpen Kart (Beta)

- completly scratch built track, based on public LIDAR data (point cloud + DEM)
- track is in BETA (!) condition, as many things are still not finished or unpolished
- yellow paddock buildings are placeholders and will be redone
- all other paddock buildings will be added in future
- only one replay camera atm, more will be added
- Curbs might be redone in some places, as I plan to visit the track to get better pictures and dimensions

I have no plan when I will find time to finish the track. But for driving, it should be good enough already :)

After barely three months of construction, Germany's largest go-kart track was opened in March 1980.
Already in July 1981 the European Karting Championship took place. Participants included Ayrton Senna. This was followed in July 1983 by the Kart Junior World Championship with the participation of junior drivers from all over the world. Among them Christian Fittipaldi, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Mika Hakkinen, Allan McNish and Michael Schumacher, all drivers who have achieved worldwide prominence in motorsport.
The club quickly grew into Germany's largest and most successful kart club (judging by the number of members and the number of titles these members have achieved).

This track is AWESOME.

It's a thriller each time riding down highspeed killing the lap if hitting the wrong bumb and exploring the best lines where people like Michael and Ralf Schumacher, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Nick Heidfeld and Sebastian Vettel started their careers. 153 Grand Prix 11 World Championships - just checked it.
There`s a rumour that Ralf holds the family record for fastest lap.

The track a blast, some trees in the horizon could make it perfect.

Already now it is a funtastic track. but birches, these white trees, are used quite often around this track

atm in terms of the total package. could beat Wackersdorf ;-) No.1 is AMP.

Michael Schumacher will be happy when he finds this gem - hope to race against him on this track one day.
