Lobsta Explorer Mk2

Description
The Lobsta Explorer is a medium to long range civilian adventure ship. It boasts comfortable quarters for two crew (or four if duty shifts are arranged), a spacious single-ship hangar and redundant systems in case of damage. The Mk2 version has a redesigned forward airlock that doesn't suffer from an outstanding issue with airtightness, and has improved conveyoring, making use of reinforced conveyors.

The ship has a survival kit, a basic refinery and a full assembler, enabling ship repairs and allowing outposts to be built from local materials. There is an economy-compatible docking adapter at both the front and the rear of the ship, allowing both convenient walk-on access to economy stations and ship-to-ship docking. Two standing helms are fitted at the front of the ship with duplicate controls, as well as a remote controller.

Each nacelle has a defensive gatling turret installed, and interior turrets are distributed about the ship for partial coverage from small threats. The ship features decompression warning and compensation systems. Control of pressure and doors is available thoughout the ship through button panels.

The hangar opens to both sides of the ship, and has a single connector. This connector is configured not to react to park commands from the helm. Access to the hangar is available from the ground when landed by means of ladders.

PAM is installed, and can either be used in shuttle mode or in base mode. Because the helms don't have suitable screens for PAM, an additional screen and button panel have been installed near the rear of the cabin.

The "Launch Prep" timer block closes all doors, enables all thrusters and un-parks the connectors and landing gear. It then asks PAM to align the ship and triggers Blarg's Ascent Cruise Control to launch to space (turning off that programmable block will disable this).
