XBOX Controller Settings

For all who are looking for Controller settings (XBOX One, should also work with the 360 alike) should have a look at this.
Was kind of a game changing moment for me and eliminates lots of the floaty feeling on every ground.

You can leave Acceleration and Brake on what it is.
- Sensitivity "0.0"
- Deadzone "0"
- Saturation "100"

Now go to Steer left and Steer right.
- Sensitivity "-9"
- Deadzone "5"
- Saturation "100"

The Sensitivity of "-9" changed the behaviour of the car a lot. It is more controlable and even more expectable like the stock settings.
You might just play around a bit with the deadzones. Some might like it on "15" or "10". Try it out what you prefer and it depends on how much "worn" your controller already is.

I hope this helps you a bit to eliminate that floating like physics from the game.
Have a good one.

Thank you for this, a lot better than the original settings with a xbox series s/x controller

If the axis fully pressed sends value lower than 1, you can toggle on Rescale button to have
access to full logical range.

I just want to know what rescale does

The car handling problem comes from the completely shxt default car tuning, not the controller settings, also the absolute max steering speed is too low for a gamepad, so it's very hard to counter steering when drifting even you full steering to the other side, which results in a spin. This is why you feel like driving a truck instead of a agile rally car. Doing a pendulum turn is so damn harder than in Dirt Rally 2.0

Although I prefer the following values (with a Xbox One Elite Controller):
Steer left: Sensitivity= -5.0; Deadzone= 5; Saturation=100; Rescale On; Invert=On
Steer right: Sensitivity= -5.0; Deadzone= 5; Saturation=100; Rescale On; Invert=Off
:peace:
