Brian's Simple Races

Description
Adds five new races and 3 new factions.

Treekin Race:
Treekin are humans with the characteristics of nature and the forests. The Ent Men are known for their thoughtful calm and when forced to battle their mighty trunks. The Nymph women are known for their beauty, sensitive caring nature, and extreme fertility. All Treekin feel a natural peace. Fire however is a natural vulnerability for their timber bodies.

Forest Tribe Faction:
The Treekin have nurtured these forests for countless generations. They live off the natural gardens, and gauranlen groves that thrive in their presence. Tight knit families bow to a council of elders. With the abundance of nature around them aggression is rarely useful to them, but when pressed they are well prepared to defend themselves and their home.

Blue Macaque Race: The Blue Macaques where first engineered slaves to craft at assemble lines. Given monkey-like characteristics in order to effectively manipulate their crafts. However their makers were happy to have them live fast and die young, as they neglected their long term health and their physical prowess. Many have escaped their captors and sought new life out on the rim.

Rescues Race:
The Rescues volunteered to be engineered to be perfect in the field of emergency services. They gained immense skill in putting out fires and patching up wounded, but in their selflessness, lost their own health, even optimizing their brain to the neglect of all else, causing many to be unable to help themselves. Such selflessness also lead to many being taken advantage of. Successive generations became unhappy with their selfless lifestyle as they were unappreciated and abused. They chose to leave, causing a war with those who had become complacent and reliant on their skills.

Manics Race:
The Manics became a slave to their own art, thus eachother and themselves. They made themselves the perfect sculptures of food and marble, in order to please the gaze of critics and oligarchs. They now hold a hearth in their belly, causing the fires of passion to spew from them. Most are still serving in kitchens and workshops across the worlds, but some have resisted the culture of their ancestors and left to find more in life than simple material perfection.

Heavys Race:
In civilizations on the rim, it’s common practice to use strong prisoners in heavy labor. Some have become generational slaves, messily introduced to genes to further optimize this purpose. This lesser class became known as Heavys. In time they gained strength enough that they could no longer be restrained by their masters. They however hold the scars of genetic deformities introduced to make them appear less human, in order to satisfy the upper classes' need for cognitive dissonance and superiority.

Civil Refuge Faction:
Assorted slave races escaped to the rim to start a new life. These people have found peace and safety in each other. Each race being optimized for specific purposes have found they are able to live together to reach greater prosperity than any could achieve alone, maintaining and improving on their industrial age civilization. They are generally agreeable to peace with other nations.

Refugee Pirates faction:
Assorted slave races have banded together in anger for their old masters. They have taken to raiding and pillaging in order to support their ongoing quest of vengeance.

I also recommend using these mods:
No Forced Traits With Genes - because character traits are meant to be about how the individual is unique. Allowing a person to further exaggerate a racial feature, or undermine it, feels important.
Offspring Inherit Xenogenes - There is no way to create a new genetic race in game, aside from selective breeding, so I'm liking the idea that Xenogenes being passed on infrequently make it possible to engineer a new race directly. To get this effect use the mod setting to make xenogene to 15 or 20%.
