Description

NOT SAVE COMPATIBLE

This mod simply reworks the Officer Skill chance.
Inspired by the mod Language Barrier. Adjusted to my own desires.

Does away with the skill "runner" entirely, as well as all language skills except Linguist. increase chance of skills like Expert and Specialist.

I tried and tried to develop individual mods for each skill to make certain your next officer would acquire a particular skill, but the way UBoat save games operate I was unable to achieve it. So this mod and mods like Language Barrier will have to do for now. Hopefully we will have some sort of "Officer Training" in the game eventually.

With latest version the cheats do NOT work any more. How can I enable them again?

Thanks, just found out that i can edit directly in the game file, and yes they are shown on your 1st pic, there are some skills left blank.

Kivi - yeah you can edit the chances. I don't remember those skills were they added after this mod was made?

Truly the mod i was hoping for, im sick of getting 5 cooks all the time, but can i adjust the rate by changing the values in the xml? There are no "connections, leader..." did you delete them?

all i seem to get after installing this is cook, every time. is there a way to get rid of some skills so they dont appear like u did with runner?

Tequilatibbs - Yeah I usually give my engineers helmets so they won't get knocked out from impacts quite as easily, etc

Personally I never want running perk , I thinks it's 10% faster or something. I'd like my crew to have it if possible for diving but my officers rarely have to run anywhere far
