To be honest, I did this so long ago I don't quite remember.
I think the hands are higher poly than they seem at first glance, necessary for them to look good at such a short distance from the camera.
On top of that, the original model is not optimized (Has a pretty high polygon count that could be significantly reduced), and the view model includes a good chunk of her arms (necessary for certain weapons and tools that use much more than a bit of the forearms and hands).
All that must've contributed to the file size.
