Thanks for the support!
I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who viewed, commented on, favorited, and awarded my guide. Your support means a lot and motivates me to keep creating content that helps the community. I really appreciate your time and feedback!
How to Use this Guide
You should primarily be using my templates (linked below) to keep track of your game progress.

Game mechanics are explained within sections of this steam guide, so check back here if you have any confusion! A lot of the mechanic explanation is straight from the game's info manual, but you have to leave your game to reference it, so I put it here with some additional information I think is important.

Template Links
In order to edit my Sheets, you have to make your own copy.

Instructions:
Open the Sheet you wish to copy while logged into a Google account. Navigate to the top left-hand corner and click "File". Use the drop-down menu to select "Make a Copy". Name your copy, and you're good to go!

Note: When you make a copy, it is static. This means that the copy will not update as I update the documents. This also means that you have to refresh the page to see updates if you are viewing my Sheet.

Endings: Explained
These endings occur when you successfully reach a destination. The resource thresholds for the Loser/OK/MVP endings vary depending on which gamemode you're playing on.

Easy Mode
  • MVP: all resources need to be at least 7
  • OK: at least one resource needs to be 2-6
  • Loser: at least one resource needs to be 1

Normal Mode
  • MVP: all resources need to be at least 5
  • OK: at least one resource needs to be 3-4
  • Loser: at least one resource needs to be 2 or less

Hard Mode
  • MVP: all resources need to be at least 4
  • OK: at least one resource needs to be 2-3
  • Loser: at least one resource needs to be 1

Friend Hugger Mode
  • Only OK endings are available

Prank Masterz Mode
  • Check out the in-game manual for more information
Dates: Explained
Date endings occur when you successfully bring a character to your destination. There are currently 23 Date endings in the game.

Date Success Requirements:
Each character requires that you successfully complete 2 conversations and 1 deep conversation before reaching a destination for a successful date. You also cannot experience a Lame Loser ending.

Your game difficulty affects deep conversations in the following ways:
  • Easy Mode: you cannot fail deep conversations
  • Normal Mode: you have 2 chances to succeed deep conversations
  • Hard Mode: you have only one chance to succeed deep conversations

In order to begin the dating process, you must go to one of two locations during the Rest Stop:
  • Bench: if you want to romance Scott or Polly
  • Bus Stop: if you want to romance another character

Tip: if you want to romance a specific hitchhiker, you can use the Info Board to call them, ensuring that they appear at the Bus Stop during the next Rest Stop.
Good Endings: Explained
Base Game:
There are 42 good endings obtainable:
  • 24 are from receiving the MVP ending for each destination as each of the 4 playable characters
  • 18 are from receiving the Date ending for each hitchhiker at least once

DLC:
Each playable character DLC adds 6 new good endings and each hitchhiker DLC adds 2 new good endings, meaning that if you have all the DLC, there are 76 good endings obtainable:
  • 54 are from receiving the MVP ending for each destination as each of the 9 playable characters
  • 22 are from receiving the Date ending for each hitchhiker at least once

Destinations: Explained
There are 6 destinations, each with 3 layers, that can be reached to end a game.

Base Layer
A destination's Base Layer can be reached once you the required level of the associated resource. Easy and Normal Mode require at least 25 of the associated resource, while Hard Mode requires at least 30 of the associated resource.
  • Knifeland - Hype
  • City of Vice - Soul
  • Merkingdom - Money
  • Music Festival - Stamina
  • Cryptid Prom - Mind
  • Dreamed Dominions - Magic

Romance Layer
Unlocked by experiencing the destination's Base Layer ending. A destination's Romance Layer can be reached if you successfully date the corresponding hitchhiker before reaching the destination.
See Dates: Explained for more information.
  • Knifeland - Damien LaVey
  • City of Vice - Vera Oberlin
  • Merkingdom - Miranda Aanderbilt
  • Music Festival - Liam de Lioncourt
  • Cryptid Prom - Moss Mann
  • Dreamed Dominions - Aaravi Mishra

Plotline Layer
Unlocked by experiencing the destination's Romance Layer ending. A destination's Plotline Layer can be reached if you successfully complete the Plotline before reaching the destination. Plotlines are available beginning in week 3. You must have at least 15 of the associated resource to trigger the plotline.
Noodles' Trinket Swap Shop
You can visit Noodle's shop during Rest Stops, where you can swap one of your trinkets for another, which will impact your resources.

To see all the details regarding these, hop on over to LaChouette's guide!
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2872875099 One trinket needs to be unlocked.
That Thingie - Unlocked by experiencing Meta-Cabin ➙ Brainstorming Session ➙ option 1

If you are using my Sheets, this information is also listed on the "Noodles' Swap Shop" page.

Hitchhiker Effects
There are 17 hitchhikers + Polly and Scott currently in the base game; 4 additional hitchhikers are present if you own all the DLC.

  • Adrien - After your conversation, gain 5 of your lowest resource and lose 1 of every other resource.
  • Amira Rashid - Every turn, gain 1 of your highest stat and lose 1 of your lowest stat.
  • Aaravi Rashid - Every turn, gain Magic and lose Money.
  • Brian Yu - The Brian Song will play on repeat.
  • Calculester Hewlett-Packard - Every turn, gain 1 of your lowest resource, and lose 1 of your highest resource.
  • Damien LaVey - Every turn, gain Hype and lose Stamina.
  • Finn - After your conversation, gain and lose the same resources you did in your last location turn.
  • Hope Halko - Every turn, lose Magic and randomly gain Money, Mind, or Hype.
  • Joy Johnson-Johjima - Every turn, gain Soul and lose Magic.
  • The Lamb - After your conversation, lose all of your two lowest resources, and gain the same amount of your highest resource.
  • Liam de Lioncourt - Every turn, gain Mind and lose Hype.
  • Milo Belladona - When a resource drops below 1, raise it to 1. Only applies once.
  • Miranda Vanderbilt - Every turn, gain Stamina and lose Mind.
  • Moss Mann - Every turn, gain 1 of a random resource, and lose 1 of another random resource.
  • Oz - After your conversation, gain three random resources and lose three other random resources.
  • Polly/Scott - All resource gains and losses are increased by 1.
  • Stu - All resource gains and losses are reduced by 1.
  • Valerie Oberlin - When you visit Noodles, gain 1 extra resource from your swap.
  • Vera Oberlin - Every turn, gain Money and lose Soul.
  • Vicky Schmidt - All resource gains and losses will begin lower and increase every turn.
  • Zoe - After your conversation, two of your resources will randomly swap values.
  • Secret Hitchhiker - Washing Machine Dahlia - After your conversation, all of your resources will randomly swap values.

Don't forget! These effects are only active for the week after you talk to them. If you want them to be active all the time, you must speak with them every week. If you've successfully completed the deep conversation with your hitchhiker, they will no longer have conversations with you, but you will still get the stat effect after visiting them.
The Secret Hitchhiker
If you visited the Meta-Cabin and dug for secrets, you may have discovered that the game wants you to edit it’s game files to activate the secret hitchhiker. Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Close Monster Roadtrip.

Step 2: Open whatever file system your computer uses, for me, it was Windows File Explorer.

Step 3: Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Monster Prom 3 – Monster Roadtrip\UserData and find the “GameSettings” xml file. This path will look slightly different if you aren’t on Windows, but most of it should be correct still.

Step 4: Right click on the file and select edit with “[]”. You can use any text editor to edit files, such as Notepad or TextEdit, I used Notepad++.

Step 5: Find “False” and change “False” to “True”.

Step 6: Save and close the file.

Step 7: Run Monster Roadtrip again. Make sure to run your most recent local save, NOT the cloud save.

Step 8: Play! The new hitchhiker should be at the Bus Stop during Week 1 and will act like any other hitchhiker from here on out.
End of the Road
Unlock Requirements:
You must have visited all 6 Destinations to unlock this content. Once unlocked, a pop-up will appear on the Home Menu alerting you that you have unlocked content. It will bring you to the Trigger Warnings page, in Settings ➙ Customize. You must enable the ending for it to appear in your runs.

Trigger Requirements:
In order to trigger this ending, you need to play until Week 9 without losing or reaching a Destination. The ending lasts through Week 11, and you will need to continue managing your stats throughout this, keeping in mind that all gains and losses are +/- 7. Luckily, you cannot reach the standard destinations once you've started Week 10, so you only need to worry about failing the Roadtrip.

Stat Management Advice:
• Use my sheets, linked in the second section of this guide, don't take chances.
• Successfully complete a plotline. You gain stat points without losing any upon completion.
• Use Noodles to boost certain stats. Be careful though, he may not have the stat you want, or you might be forced to lose a stat you wanted to keep.
• Use the Car's Cautious Planner to help balance your stats.
• Most events give and take stats equally, meaning your total stat value doesn't change. There are some events and instances in which you can gain total stat value, take advantage of these: Valerie's Hitchhiker effect, City Under Attack ➙ Accept Your Fate, & Kite Tournament ➙ Enter the Tournament.

In Week 9, there were be a very specific set of locations you are allowed to visit: the Regular Motel, the Graveyard, the Caves, and The Dinest. Whichever Event you choose at these locations will be the ONLY events you are allowed to visit at these same locations in Week 10, so plan your resources carefully. Week 11 will be a one-track story that you simply get to experience, culminating in the end of the game.

The Meta-Shop A.K.A the Great Glorious Gacha
The Winter Update introduced the new and highly anticipated Meta-Shop! Only now, it's a lovely gacha mini-game... yay?

Anyway, you collect Prank Tokens at the conclusion of each game, just like Monster Camp's summer memories worked. Spend 100 of these to get a random gacha capsule, which can contain a variety of items.

Thanks! I have a similar Steam Guide for Monster Con which contains full and blank checklists for the game: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3469740599

I've never thought about doing one for the older games, there may be some guides out there already for them. Maybe I'll look into that in the future!
