More Lock SA - key system management

Description



More Lock Management offers a real management system for building and cars’ locks/keys, all this in a realistic and immersive way.

You will be able to :
  • Copy cars/buildings/padlocks’ keys in different ways.
  • Take off/Restore cars' Neiman.
  • Take off/Replace a car door's lock.
  • Take off/Replace houses' doors' lock without changing the door itself.
  • Generate new locks for buildings’ locks and cars' Neiman.

You will have access to a table that will guide you with all the explanations needed, each recipe and each items have a description.

11 items will be added to the world with their own distribution.

You will often use Imprinting Tools. There are two models, one for cars' Neiman, the other for buildings’ doors, garages’ doors, etc...

Doorknobs and cars’ doors now have a lock.

Action bar is now taking a long time to fill up in order to complicate the task.

Many SFX have been added to various actions.


This mod works with : MP / SP / Existing saves / Able to remove this mod safely /no Vanilla rewriting code

I'm sorry, but it's just a simple pose, I coded 3 years on PZ, the unstable is out, but I want to recode my work properly on a stable version, maybe not wait for the MP, but as soon as I find the desire, the motivation, I'll review everything one by one.

I'm happy to hear that you're still interested in updating this mod. Honestly, it is a life saver. But you're right that a full rewrite would probably be better for b42 (if it ever releases lol), since we don't know what will be changed.

Yes, I saw the skill requirements in the imprinting menu, which I was allowed to do, but the thing that stumped me was that it refused to let me craft keys and generate random imprints on the tools. That's what was lacking skill requirement information. I even looked in the crafting menu because I remembered that the key recipes are there as well. All the required materials were highlighted white, I was stood next to a powered duping machine, but it just refused to let me craft. This was because I wasn't leveled enough in carpentry. But the crafting recipes don't list skill requirements, only materials, and the description tells you to have a powered machine nearby.

I started a new vanilla save with only this mod, but I got the same result. It drove me so mad I enabled debug mode, and after a bit of messing around, I maxxed my mechanics, metalworking, carpentry, and only then did it start working properly.
