M1000 Taurus SPG

Bigger than a house, the Taurus SPG uses every bit of its mass to carry the M-1000 Avalanche Siege Cannon. Firing a round wider than you are tall, the system lobs high explosive warheads from a distance. A danger to both terrestrial structures and large vessels in low orbit, the Taurus proves an oversize but elusive threat.

The M1000 Taurus SPG is a heavily armored large grid tank on a durable small grid suspension. Its primary armament is the M-1000 Avalanche Siege Cannon mounted on a turret capable of rotating a 360 degrees and elevating 90 degrees. The cannon itself is a turret with limited traverse. The tank is protected by two MG-25 Rampart chainguns, one MG-50 Atlas point defence turret, and one AC85 Echo autocannon.

Side note: I'm really fond of the way the suspension turned out (it's tuned for 1.0G). It makes a good platform for a lot of things, so feel free to rip off the turret and build whatever you like on top of it!
