Honestly, paradox shoud have gone about language names similar to cultural ones. Anglic becoming English once said culture starts appearing and such.

@Willelmus Yeah, I should have used "Simple" or smth like that. Next time...

I think that if you don't use the word "better", less people are going to come here and say "but Portuguese don't speak Spanish!". It's different, sure, but I don't see how it's better in terms of "gameplay".

@[Army of Two] AXIS Portuguese dont speak "iberian" either. And if you dont want the portuguese in CK3 to speak spanish, just dont install this mod.

@Willelmus I understand, that the solution paradox came up with is the best in terms of historical accuracy, but I think it is not good in terms of gameplay. This mod should only be used, if you dont care about historical accuracy and only more simple gameplay

The solution Paradox took with D'Oil and Iberian Vulgar is not elegant, but it's good in terms of accuracy, and it allows to represent language continuums much better than just labeling languages in an erroneous way (Spanish didnt' exist, Russian wouldn't be known as such until much later, Lechitic isn't just Polish....) - It also doesn't patronise people and expect them to be utterly confused when seeing "Finnic" or "D'Oc Vulgar".

So Portuguese speak Spanish now? CARALHO!
