Direwild

Description
(from BoardGameGeek)

Direwild is a fully co-operative, tactical, dungeon-crawling deck-builder. There is no dungeon master; it is purely the players vs. the game. Players assume the role of animists, heroes that can summon creatures both great and small (represented in the cards you build your deck with), then combine those creatures in unique ways. With the creatures' help, the animists strive to work as a team to defeat the evil forces of Karn. Karn was once a great animist himself, but was corrupted by his lust for greater power. Throughout the game, Karn tries to hunt the heroes and defeat them before they can grow strong enough to face him in the final showdown. The game is split into three chapters, with a "game save" mechanism to allow for the packing and saving of the game between game nights.

The game also includes treasure, magic, unlockable upgrades, boss fights, a large pool of minions to randomly face each playthrough, over 130 creatures, and ten unique heroes!

Game has been out of print for a long time now and their website (www.direwild.com) is similarly unavailable so I figured I'd scan my copy in. This is a super-rough scanning job - if anyone wants to go in and crop/edit the images, feel free to ping me and I'll update this accordingly.

Little-to-no scripting of setup and gameplay; the only part that is scripted is the creature construction because TTS tries to stack the base creature with the upside-down modifiers underneath it if the modifier cards aren't locked. They should auto-lock as you drag more creatures into the construction zone, and jump to your discard when you drag the base creature out. There are some literal edge cases with drawing multiple cards as Orange or Yellow as sometimes they clip into the zone but I think I've resolved that.

Awesome game! Thank you so much for adding all the assets in!
Though it looks like the player board image link is broken. Not sure if you're still updating this or not. Also there's no d3 dice to play with. If you don't mind I wouldn't mind taking a stab at fixing these things. (haven't ever modded/built anything in this before).

You're reading that correctly, yes - there are at most 12 rounds per chapter. The game boils down to 3 chapters of 12 rounds each, where each chapter tasks you with defeating the minions for that chapter, and also defeating Karn before the end of the final 3rd chapter.

I've only ever been successful by spending a few rounds wearing Karn down in the first 2 chapters, trying to get a Regenerate card out in each, so he has less health to go through in the final chapter.

It's just 12 rounds and you can't do anything about it. Or I misunderstood something in the rules. Or is there some way to return a wound to a fatal wound.

Do I understand correctly that there are only 12 rounds in the game. That is, 6 rounds of Kharn he goes to the portal, and then 6, when he is on the field, he will remove a Fatal wound every turn.

Thanks! For reference (I just checked) the 2nd chapter, as well as alternate chapters 1 and 2, are in a bag next to the minions setup decks. I named the bag as much but I realize now it's easy to overlook. I should probably have included some text on the board, in the notes, or something. I'll add that as an update. Much appreciated!

Amazing Game, I did have to scan in my own board for the second chapter, but you did an amazing job.
