Mining/Support Frigate "Queen Bee"

Description
UPDATE 2014-07-27
Uploaded modular version. Choose number of reactors, hangar spaces and refineries.

UPDATE 2014-07-16
MSF-2 version, with better lighting, suited hangar access when docks are full, engine room access door. Previous version is still included.

The MSF "Queen Bee" is a mobile refining, recycling and manufacturing base of operations with a fully-equipped hangar featuring docking and resupply facilities for six CRV "Bumblebee" work ships.

FEATURES
* glass airlock to allow crew inside the cabin to see people entering
* quick access assemblers for small ship repairs and modification
* medical stations in the hangar bay for quick recharging and healing
* crew cabins with medical bays, crew storage space and passenger seating
* thruster damage safe
* all components sensibly named for quick searching - no groups required

3,002,676 kg
3 large reactors
18 gyroscopes
4 refineries
8 assemblers
8 large cargo containers

USAGE NOTE
While the hangar is designed to be thruster safe, moving the large ship while the small ships have dampeners turned on may result in damage to the hangar surfaces. Remember to turn off dampeners when docking your ship.
Also, pressing Y while connected will turn off ALL connected reactors, on workers and the large ship. If you wish to turn off your reactor do so AFTER snapping to the connector but BEFORE engaging the connector. Or use the control panel menu.
To disengage from the connectors, thrust backwards.

Please note that in the above screenshots I am using a custom skybox (Lunar Orbit) and have turned shadows to "Very Dark" using the Skybox Tool.

Seems to happen in both. Had my friend start moving the ship upwards (spacebar) when I spawned, and that helped; but he had to stop right away to keep me from phasing thru the floor. Gotta love those multiplayer bugs... I have been able to spawn a couple times normally. Med bays seem to have random spawn points anywhere around the block.

Singleplayer or multi?

Love your builds. By far, best civilian/work ships I've played with so far. Only suggestion I have is a little more space around med bays. Every time I spawn on Queen Bee or Marchioness in survival, half my body is in the roof and I die.

Alright thanks, ill try that out

Connectors allow inventory networks to communicate, but they don't automatically move anything across them. "Collect All" will move as many items as possible into the connector itself, and is meant to be used with "Drop Items" to eject everything into space.
I don't normally have any reason to turn on "Collect All".

My recommendation would be to use Automated Inventory Sorting, and add "[Component,Ingot,Ore]" to the cargo container names, and "[Exempt]" to the names of the welding ships' containers (this will stop the cargo containers from emptying those). Note that even with "[Component,Ingot,Ore]" set, refineries and assemblers will still be able to pull from those containers.

well i havent checked with the Miners yet but for the Grinders its the scrapped parts and such. they all go to the workers connector but stop there. i figured because of the conveyor system it would shovel the resources to a storage or assembly

What materials? Only ore will offload by itself, and only until the refineries are full. If you want everything to be offloaded automatically you'll need to use Automated Inventory Sorting .

having a little trouble with the queen bee her self, i connect the workers to the queen but the connectors do not collect from workers and send the materials else where? am i being nooby or something?
