Description
Have you ever suddenly noticed that an important tile is missing, and now your base is flooded or lacking all gasses?
When a building breaks, it can be repair, but what about tiles?

They are destroyed and gone for good.

Or they were, but not anymore!


If your duplicant has a temper tantrum and destroys a wall, a new construction order is automatically made and a notification is thrown your way.
This also happens when a tile is destroyed from taking pressure damage.

Clicking on the notification takes you to the rebuilt tile's location.

By default, the rebuild task is priority 7, but in the configuration file (documents/klei/oxygennotincluded/mods/settings/RebuildTiles/config.json), the priority can be changed. The range is 1 to 10, where 9 is the highest priority and 10 is yellow alert.

Inside the configuration file, there is also an option for "showDamageNotifications". If this is true, notifications are shown when a building, tile or item takes damage from any source. Is is false by default.



Let me know if I've missed a way that tiles can break without one's knowledge.

@tox2ik yes, we can take measures to avoid this behavior from damaging stuff, but why should I redraw buildings again though? This mod literally just adds memory to dupes lol

Why not just disable stress all together? Or never pick destructive dupes? Or use metal tiles? Or pay attention to destructive dupes? Or lock in destructive dupes in a rage-safe area when they rage? Nah, game des0in must be broked we fix instead. You gotta love moddable games...

New update out.
- Priority level can be changed in the mod's configuration file. The range is 1-10, where 10 is yellow alert.
- The config also contains a "showDamageNotifications", which, if true, shows notifications if buildings, tiles or items take damage. Clicking the notification also redirects the view to the object.

Deeply needed indeed; should be in base. Also agree that priority should be set (blanket mod config would be great) as >5 often won't be repaired in a timely way.

Any chance of adding an option for notification when a building needs repair? I've get one when "broken" but so much resources and time have been wasted by dupes repairing liquid and gas pipes in areas I wasn't looking.

Is it possible to add a choice of execution priority? Sometimes very important cells break, and priority 5 is almost always insufficient, you have to look for these cells and manually set the priority.

another way a tile can break is by heat when your tile overheats lets say its a normal 3000 degrees outside guess what say bye to that colony
