Description
Load this mod first before Ultimate Immersive Mod!

This mod changes the units, morale & the pace of the battle, including the prices set in the Campaign Map
Please do note that this is made for the Shogun 2 Campaign (not ROTS/FOTS).

It may have a slight bug due to some abilities that is intentionally removed but still exist in the game for some reason!

Battle Pace
The battles are now set to become a bit more realistic, as units won't quickly disintegrate at the moment of combat, they will take quite some time before they break. Their movement speed is now also lowered for more realism. Their health is also increased for a longer battle.

Unit Changes
Spears is now (as always been), the main weapon for your frontline battles, most Yari Units now field the Nagae Yari as it was mainly used for most of the time in Sengoku Jidai. The Katana & Naginatas wouldn't be much effective against a head-to-head battle against these Long Yaris that are fielded in battle by the spear units as they have higher defense bonus.

Katanas are cheaper and are meant for desperate recruitment of troops however they have a better attack bonus albeit lower defense.

Naginatas have balance stats of attack & defense, they can fight against a Katana head-to-head, while being able to be more effective against the Long Yari, they have really good armor and can be better siege troops.

Ashigarus are a professional standing army in between the Samurai & the Peasant at this time based on real sources, a one on one battle of an Ashigaru against a Samurai is an easy answer that the Samurai will win, but in huge formations there are many things that may happen. However Samurais have better stats, armor & morale than the Ashigaru would have, especially when they are experienced!

Bow Infantry will now offer more devastating arrow volley but lesser ammo.

Matchlock Infantry will now be firing en masse in all ranks, their bullets have higher spread & slower reload for realism.

Changed Prices
The Samurai & its Cavalry are very expensive in your campaign battles, this means your Ashigaru would usually meant to be the mainstay of your army, they have lower upkeep compared to the Samurai, but would that stop you from mustering a Samurai Army? I think not!

Ranged Units are now expensive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can Yari beat Katana?
A: The Katana is a secondary weapon by the infantry, it was the Yari that was the most effective weapon of its time especially the long ones, all of the units here has a Katana, so they would use it for emergency if they lose their main weapon. So if you're using a Katana Infantry, they only have a secondary weapon which is why they are not effective against the spears. (The spear was more easier to train and master unlike the sword, and it was more efficient aswell.)

Compatibility & Limitations
Compatibility

It's compatible to all mods since it only changes the tables of Takeda Shingen's Immersive Shogun mod.
This is solely for pure vanilla Shogun 2, no DLCs involved.

Some of the units still have their old skills in the game when it's not supposed to be in. (ex. Yari Samura having rapid advance)

I'm talking about the speed of replenishment from the early to mid-stage of the battle is too fast.,You only need to adjust the early to mid-stage ones.,The later ones are just good to use the game's own technology improvement.,So don't worry.,Don't make technological changes.

First, the back encounters with the enemy state lasts too long, and the punishment is too great, when there are still a large number of troops around me, the enemy is even a little bit, the morale of the troops who meet the enemy on the back drops a lot, and finally escapes, even if there are still a lot of people in this unit.
Second, can you balance the replenishment a little bit, so that both the AI and the AI can be refilled slowly, otherwise the replenishment will be full after two to three rounds of a battle, and hopefully it will be reduced to five or six rounds of replenishment
I've been playing this MOD for a long time, and it's a good mod, and I just hope these can be improved a little more

katana ashigaru or katana samurai should have the skill rapid advance and second wind. they should be the quick flanker units if spear beats them

There wouldn't happen to be a way to disable the yari reskin clientside, would there? I very much enjoy the style of long Nagae-yari for ashigaru but the yari samurai are clearly designed with shorter poles in mind with their synced animations, and it just looks a bit odd as is lel

Appreciate the mod though, played vanilla enough to the point of being unable to stomach the katana units anymore, being outright better than the dominant battlefield polearms at the time; Let alone being outshined by naginatas on top of that
