History

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 (Russian: Микоян и Гуревич МиГ-21; NATO reporting name: Fishbed) is a supersonic jet fighter and interceptor aircraft, designed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau in the Soviet Union. Its nicknames include: "balalaika", because its planform resembles the stringed musical instrument of the same name; "Ołówek", Polish for "pencil", due to the shape of its fuselage, and "Én Bạc", meaning "silver swallow", in Vietnamese.

Approximately 60 countries on four continents have flown the MiG-21, and it still serves many nations six decades after its maiden flight. It made aviation records, becoming the most-produced supersonic jet aircraft in aviation history, the most-produced combat aircraft since the Korean War and previously the longest production run of a combat aircraft (now exceeded by both the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle and General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon).

It may perhaps be the 600th Mig-21 on the workshop, but i still wanted to share mine with you!

Features
  • 3500 liters of fuel
  • On board GsH-23 autocannon
  • 4 R-60 Air to Air missiles
  • Ejection seat!
  • Airbrake
  • Stabilizer systems
  • Afterburner
  • Mouse aim

Startup and take off
  • Flick on your Battery and Instruments
  • Turn on your fuel pump
  • Turn on your hydraulics
  • Turn on your ignition and press the engine start button (on your left). The engine will spool up to idle automatically.
  • Give a LITTLE bit of throttle
  • Release your parking brake
  • Give small rudder inputs to steer
  • Line up with the runway and prepare for take-off. Give full throttle and afterburner!
  • Fly away! Dont forget your landing gear!

Its a heavy bird with a heavy payload! At full speed and loadout, it will be a little sluggish. When you used your weapons and fuel, it will be alot lighter and more manouvrable! Also, the center of mass will ofcourse shift, so trim your flight controls accordingly!

Thanks! A destroyer is a bit too big of a project at the moment, but perhaps in the future!

By the way you did a good job on your S-38 torpedo boat. I was wondering if you could build a Type 1936A destroyer???
