Madi's Starter Bags

Description
This mod adds starter bags that can help speed up the early game and early hardmode.
Use the config to change the quality of bag drops!
Mostly made because I felt like starting modded playthroughs would benefit from the early game/early hardmode segments going a bit faster.
I finished the first version of this mod in a day, about 10 hours.
Please read the tooltips, and have fun!

Changelogs:

1.8:
  • Reverted the new quality swap system for now, as it caused many issues with other mods. Known issues that should be fixed by this change are:
    • Magic Storage shouldn't instantly crash the game when crafting bags in storage
    • Recipe Browser shouldn't make the cursor and other UI elements disappear
1.7.2:
  • Hotfix for servers not updating bags correctly
1.7.1:
  • Fixed mod icon not showing in mod list
1.7:
  • Fully revamped the internal bag system
  • Changing bag qualities no longer necessitates a reload
  • Bag qualities now dynamically change when the config changes
  • Basic starter bag now spawns in inventory right away instead of a token
  • Hardmode starter bag now drops from the Wall of Flesh instead of being crafted
  • Bag tokens for the basic and hardmode starter bag are now unused; existing instances of it may still be used to craft bags
  • Hardmode starter bags no longer give Pwnhammers back to compensate for the crafting recipe
  • Hardmode starter bags can now only be opened once (the reason this doesn't apply to all bags is because the hardmode starter bag is the only renewable one)
  • Mediumcore characters no longer get a basic starter bag upon each death
  • Rebalanced some starter bags:
    • Quality 1 and 2 mage starter bags now give Mana Crystals
    • Quality 3 summoner hardmode bag now gives the Cool Whip instead of the Firecracker due to it dropping from the Wall of Flesh
    • Summoner hardmode starter bags no longer give the Bewitching Table due to it being obtainable earlier in progression
    • Quality 2 starter bag now gives more stuff
  • Tweaked the mod icon

  • Removed startup message as it was deemed unnecessary in hindsight
  • Fixed Quality 3 Hardmode Starter Bag not requiring a Pwnhammer to be crafted
  • Fixed mistake of several bags giving extra bag tokens unintentionally
1.5:
  • Fully implemented bag qualities
  • Added Bag Tokens to solve bag crafting exploiting
    • Bag tokens are used to craft bags. Upon character creation, you get one bag token. You will get further bag tokens by crafting and progressing. You only get one per tier, so use it wisely.
  • Added config option to choose enabled bag qualities (NOTE: you have to reload your mods to change it!)
  • Changed some quality 3 bag drops
  • Added a startup message to notify players about Bag Tokens

  • Ported to TModLoader 1.4.4
  • Resprited all bags
  • Resprited mod icon
  • Made all current bags into Quality 3 bags (quality system is still unfinished, will be added next update)

  • Fixed hardmode class starter bags removing the Pwnhammer since creating them requires the regular hardmode starter bag

  • Added Torch God's Favor in the basic starter bag

Some issue i found is that if i put the tokens in magic storage, and then open the crafting interface to make the bag within magic storage, even just clicking the bags instantly crashes the game.
I do play on a server im hosting and with other people, whom it also happens to.
Other than that i love the mod, other than this small inconvenience its great

Hello! i don´t know if this even matters but i ran into a problem with this mod when using the recipe browser mod when clicking on the mods recipe glitches the ui making things like the mouse cursor to vanish.

This probbably doesn´t matter but i just wanted say it anyways

sorry for the wait everyone! this update is larger than i thought, but 1.7 will overhaul the internal bag system! this should make everything a lot easier to implement in the future, and paves way to the eventual content mod support update
this mod also has a lot of changes to the current way of getting bags, making them more intuitive and fixes flaws that were present with how things were.

hello everyone! another update is gonna come out sometime, improving obtaining bags and making it less confusing.
bags will spawn in your character's when you create one, and you will be able to craft class specific bags as usual.
the hardmode starter bag will drop from the wall of flesh this time, and class specific hardmode bags will be obtained the same way as pre-hm.

i also plan to make a 2.0 update in the future, adding a better bag system, support for major content mods, although this may take a long time, as i'm not really focused on developing mods at the moment.
