A basic Overview
Welcome, to Bigfoot

You are likely reading this guide, hoping to get a general idea of what is the best, and worst possible ways to track down Bigfoot; and the safest most secure ways to subdue and capture him.

This guide will give a basic overview, of the recommended ways to best Bigfoot... it may take a few attempts to take him down, but these tactics will help you to overcome Bigfoot every time.

This reflects the current build of Bigfoot, not previous builds... in time, this guide may become outdated, but for now; this information should aid with taking down Bigfoot.

Game Modes

Team vs AI - Up to 4 Players (Online); 4 Hunters (Humans) vs Bigfoot (AI controlled)
Team vs Player - Up to 5 Players (Online); 4 Hunters (Humans) vs Bigfoot (Human)
Player vs AI - 1 Player Mode (Offline); 1 Hunter vs Bigfoot (AI controlled)

Game Settings

Bigfoot Health - The amount of HP Bigfoot has during gameplay; Higher ticks means more health and a harder fight. With 1 tick, Bigfoot will have around 800 HP, the number gets higher as more ticks are added. Bigfoot can also heal damage dealt to him; so the more health he has, the longer the fight will be.

Bigfoot Damage - The amount of damage Bigfoot will deal on a single attack. Higher ticks means attacking Bigfoot head on becomes more devastating; as his attacks will deal way more health to you.

He can attack you with punches or charging, (10-15 damage), swing a sign or shovel (15-20 damage); throw a sign or shovel (20-25 damage); or grab you, and slam or pummel you. (30-35 damage). If you are downed and have no medipacks to get up; Bigfoot can fatality you, to permanently kill you; unless your teammates can bring you to Stonehenge, so be extremely cautious. All numbers are accurate to the Single tick difficulty, the higher difficulty will see these numbers go up; so engaging directly is a heavy risk for you.

Loot Amount - The amount of Ammo, and items you can find; higher numbers mean more resources; while less means the fight will require more rationing.

If playing with low loot, rationing with allies is mandatory, and you will need to be careful not to waste resources.

Maps

Currently, Bigfoot offers 4 locations to hunt for the ancient Sasquatch. Each map has a slightly different layout; and key landmarks to memorise. On each map, you can find Safes with colours and Combinations with colours. The Safes are static, always found in the same location, with the same contents (The M4, AVM and Dynamite)

However the Safe Combination cycles to different locations each playthrough. Sometimes they will be in the same building as the Safe; but in other cases, they can spawn in other key points of interests in the area.

Redwood Park

Difficulty: Easy

Description: "Redwood national park is known not only for it's vastness but its diversity. The plants, animals and waterways that populate the park draw visitors every season of every year. The towering sequoias add to the mystical feel of the park, inspiring legends and folktales passed down for generations."

Given Redwood Park is the first Map the game has to offer, it's obviously a great starting point for most players. The locations are very easy to scout out, and the great points of interest include several campsites, 2 major villages, a watch tower, and several small huts, as well as the tree landmarks. Exploring rapidly is recommended, and sticking to the roads; just remember that Bigfoot can easily keep up with the player on this map. Be wary of Wolves and Bears while traversing the land.

Winter Park

Difficulty: Moderate

Description: "Welcome to Winter Park, your next luxury winter getaway! Enjoy the snow-covered landscape this winter by visiting with family and friends. From stalactite-covered caves to the frozen lakes and rivers, Winter Park is the tranquil vacation spot you've been searching for."

Winter Park is a bit larger then Redwood, and the snow can make vision a bit trickier; so the Night Vision camera becomes your best friend. You maybe tempted to stay near the villages or cabins due to this, but be cautious of being trapped inside, as few of them have exit points you can rapidly flee to if Bigfoot breaks in. Ziplines in strategic places can be your best friend in this relatively large map. Bears still roam the icy wilderness too, so watch your back.

Yellowstone Park

Difficulty: Hard

Description: "Yellowstone National Park is known for its lush, vivid landscapes. The tranquillity of the the park brings peace to all visitors. The powerful geysers have become a trademark, attracting thousands of tourists from all over the country. The wildlife only adds to the experiences at Yellowstone. Any camper can go out on their own to track wildlife and see them up close. There is even a cave that predators are said to frequent, if you're lucky enough to find it."

Geysers rip off in the distance, shaking the very foundation of the landscape. Yellowstone Park is the biggest, baddest map currently in the game, and traversing it will take multiple days. It's best to stay clear of the massive lake; as it will slow you down horribly if you get too close to it. The majority of interesting locations are north, so it's best you explore the south section early on so you don't have to go back there later; the small cabin on the island out in the lake is an ideal spot to have a final showdown with Bigfoot, but be wary of him on the paths, as the trees and wild Buffalo can be a huge danger to the player.

Ross Lake Park

Difficulty: Moderate

Description: "Ross Lake Park is the relaxing getaway everyone needs. The lakeside houses and pristine campsites always allow for the most comfortable camping getaway for every visitor. Ross Lake is a water-filled paradise, with streams and waterfalls just as crystal clear as Ross Lake itself. Along with these glorious waterways, visitors can explore the park's many caves that hold wonders in their depths."

Ross Lake Park has been long time in the making, and while it's not quite as large as Yellowstone, it's far more overgrown and filled with rivers and ponds, making it a bit harder to traverse. There's also an entire cave section hidden off the map, though one should be cautious of wandering in alone, as Bigfoot can easily trap you and attack while inside. The large green portion at the top of the map is a large Swamp, and fans who've played the earliest builds will no doubt recognise the Swamp House. Ross Lake is both a throwback to the early builds of Bigfoot, but also just a fun map to explore.
Choose your Character
Your choice of Player character, will heavily influence your approach against Bigfoot

If playing online, select a character that fits your preferred playstyle.

Keep in mind, that all characters suffer from fall damage, so watch out from dropping from too great a height. In addition, Wild animals such as Wolves and Bears will attack all players as well. Yellowstone Park also has Geysers that occasionally shoot off; if you are too close, you will take damage from these as well, so mind your distance.

Bigfoot can place Treetraps, and Hunters can place Bear Traps with meat in them. If you trigger these; you'll need to do a Quicktime event. If it happens, don't panic, the screen will show you the key you need to press; simply push the right one in order to escape. Bear traps on their own will just snap on whoever enters them, including players.

Rick

Description: "When Rick was six years old, he went on a camping trip that changed his life. Since then, all he’s wanted to talk about is Bigfoot until eventually everyone who knew him claimed he was insane. But that didn’t faze Rick. He went on to be a professional hunter, mastering the art of stealth. He went on to become the founder and leader of the Bigfoot Research Association (BRA). He spends his days focusing on a single goal: finding out the truth. Did he really meet Bigfoot that day?"

Bonus: +10% Firearms Damage, +10% Melee Damage

Strategy: Rick is going to be your primary source of damage; while 10% may not seem like much, when it comes to fighting Bigfoot, extra damage will always be a useful bonus. With this, it means that Rick should be given your strongest firearms, so he is the one primarily unloading into Bigfoot. If you manage to find the M4 or Remington 870, consider giving them to him to output the most damage.

Jessica

Description: "Jess is a primate expert, one of the youngest in her field. She’s eager to be the first to discover a new species, hoping to receive the Nobel Prize in cryptozoology. All she needs is some proof of Bigfoot’s existence, and the BRA is ready to help her."

Bonus: +10% Running Speed, +15% Healing Efficency

Strategy: With faster movement, and better healing; it goes without saying that Jessica is the team support. Players choosing her, should primarily try to stay away from Bigfoot, meaning the Remington 870 or AWM are the most recommended weapons for her since she may need to get in close to heal, but it's usually best for her to keep range on Bigfoot. In addition, her fast running speed makes her ideal for rapidly exploring the map during the day to find inventory for her team.

While everyone else searches for Bigfoot, Jessica should be sprinting from location to location, setting up Cameras and traps (unless William is on the team; in which trap duty should go to him), and gathering resources, to provide them to each member of the team as needed. When it comes to the fight, she should keep her distance, only getting in close to heal if anyone is downed.

Thomas

Description: "Tom is a policeman who always had courage and strength, but this power didn’t save his loved ones from death, because Bigfoot turned out to be stronger. After resignation, he decides to join the Bigfoot Research Association (BRA) team and prevent further deaths. Tom has always shown courage and strength as a policeman, but it wasn’t enough against the legendary Bigfoot. After losing his loved ones from the beast, Tom resigned from the force and turned to the BRA. He believes that with them, he can find Bigfoot and put an end to the killings."

Bonus: +15% Vitality, +5% Explosive Damage

Strategy: Besides Rick, Thomas is the best character for taking the fight straight to Bigfoot. He has more health then the other Hunters, so allowing him to tank is generally a better strategy, but the best benefit he has; is the explosive damage boost.

Explosive weapons deal the highest damage in the game to Bigfoot, and they also stagger him; so giving Thomas access to the Dynamite, or any other explosives is decent... However, explosives cannot be reused, so once Thomas runs out of explosives to use; his extra health is his only strength.

William

Description: "Will is a college student whose life revolves around programming and computer games. His dream? Making the first great game about hunting Bigfoot. Will wants to get on the front lines and learn all he can to make the most realistic and influential Bigfoot game possible. Will joins the BRA, eager to learn and see Bigfoot up close."

Bonus: +15% Blind/Stagger Duration, +20% Reload Speed

Strategy: If playing as a team, always make sure to give a Flare Gun to Will; and request him to set up bear traps around. If playing alone, both will be your preferred safety net weapons; but with a team, Will's ability to stagger Bigfoot for a bit longer is ideal when teamed with either Thomas or Rick; as it allows them to unload their weapons into Bigfoot while he cannot move. His faster reload speed, also makes him ideal with the Remington 700 or AWM for faster reload and damage from a distance.

Bigfoot

Description: "Bigfoot is a mysterious creature, who has only been sighted by a few people. Little is known about him, but if rumors are to be believed, he is dexterous, bloodthirsty, and tough."

Bonus: +20% Damage Resistance at Night.
Special: Tree Traps, Rage, Furious Throw, Savage Hits, Ram Run, Fatality.

Strategy: Playing online in Team vs Player will allow you to play as the legendary, Bigfoot. Naturally, he has bulk to spare, and can run very fast and jump high; however, being primarily restricted to Melee, limits Bigfoot's options for combat... meaning the 1 player will need to be careful to not allow the 4 to gang up on them.

Bigfoot can heal by either hunting Animals in the park, or eating out of the garbage; though hunting is highly more beneficial. Captured game will restore around 50 HP, while garbage cans only give around 4 Hp. Note; that while eating animals, Bigfoot will be stuck in the animation for around 5 seconds, so make sure nobody is around if you're trying to heal.

When hunters lay traps down, and Bigfoot wanders too close to meat, he will be lured in; and must do a quicktime event to escape. If not, he'll walk towards it, and likely get trapped. So use caution during the day. He can also follow scent trails to track animals, or Hunters very easily.

Team Synergy

If Playing alone, it's important to note that you have nobody to share items with; but when playing online; you need to ration your resources with others. In general, certain characters should have priority with items and weapons over others.

ANYONE - Remington 700, 7.62 Ammo, Glock 17, 9mm Ammo, Traps and Meat, Cameras, Drone, Totems

Rick - M4, 5.56 Ammo, Remington 870, 12 Gauge Ammo, AWM, 7.62 Ammo, Baseball Bat, Pipe Wrench, Crowbar, Cleaver, Axe Big

Jessica - Remington 870, 12 Gauge Ammo, AWM, 7.62 Ammo, Medikit, Traps and Meat, Cameras

Thomas - Glock 17, 9mm ammo, Dynamite, Propane Tank, Gas Tank, Car Battery, Fireworks

William - AWM, 7.62 Ammo, Flare Gun, Flare Gun Ammo, Signal Flare, Fireworks

Team work is key for taking down Bigfoot, so memorise the characters strengths and weaknesses, and understand what items benefit who. Rick players should be given either the M4 or R870, and their first priority should be getting those weapons. Thomas should search for explosives, and R870 if possible; as he will be up close to tank for the team.

Jessica and William should be exploring for the team, setting traps and cameras and gathering resources that are out of the way. Once the map has been explored; ration equipment, and travel as a group... it's safer to explore alone during the day, but when night approaches; STICK TOGETHER.
Choose your Weapon - Melee
Choosing the proper tool

The weapons in Bigfoot range greatly in usefulness and power; so it's important to note the best options for any situation, and pick the weapons as their value grows.

From the very beginning, at the camp; you'll have a Hunting Knife, and can find a Glock, Flare Gun, and Remington 700 in the Camper. There's also traps all around to use against Bigfoot. So; without further ado:

MELEE WEAPONS

Melee Weapons are generally not recommended, as getting close to Bigfoot runs the risk of him grabbing you for massive damage; only recommended to use if Bigfoot is staggered from either a flare, or explosion; as otherwise the tradeoff is NOT in your favor. However, if Bigfoot is stunned, or blinded, they offer a quick, reliable way to dish out damage, that doesn't require reloading.

You can throw Melee weapons at Bigfoot to deal damage at range, but the downside with this, is you will lose the Melee Weapon if it hits Bigfoot, as it will get wedged in his body. Though you can recover them, if they land on the ground unless it's the GTS Tracker.

To throw your Melee weapon, Hold right click, and then Left click when he raises it above his head.

Hunting Knife

Description: A Basic hunter's knife. This weapon is auto equipped on everyone at the start, and a couple can be found around the map. Not reliable or recommended in the slightest, allows you to skin Animals for meat.

Damage: 2 damage per swing. (Rick deals 3 damage)

Baseball Bat

Description: A Standard wooden bat, usually used for playing the sport of Baseball, but also reliable for bludgeoning unsuspecting souls or aggressive Monkey men.

Damage: 3 damage per swing, 3 damage if thrown. (Rick deals 4 damage)

Cleaver

Description: A Meat Cleaver, usually used for chopping and slicing large servings of meat. Can be used as a larger knife if push comes to shove.

Damage: 2 damage per swing, 2 damage if thrown. (Rick deals 3 damage)

Pipe Wrench

Description: Also known as a Monkey Wrench, designed to work with large pipes; the hefty weight of this object makes it a good choice for bludgeoning things.

Damage: 2 damage per swing, 2 damage if thrown. (Rick deals 3 damage)

Axe Big

Desciption: A large woodcutters Axe; generally used for chopping wood; can be used as a hatchet against threats in a desperate moment.

Damage: 3 damage per swing, 3 damage if thrown. (Rick deals 4 damage)

Crowbar

Description: The Thief's best friend, and a masterkey for all locked doors; it also doubles as a great bludgeoning Weapon against dangerous threats.

Damage: 4 damage per swing, 4 damage if thrown (Rick deals 5 damage)

Pickaxe

Description: Digging tool used primarily by prospectors and heavy digging companies, the sharp pick on the end is intended to chip into rock and stone, and naturally can pierce flesh and bone just the same.

Damage: 4 damage per swing, 4 damage if thrown (Rick deals 5 damage)

Signal Flare

Description: An Emergency flare to alert people of your location. It can be used to startle or scare enemies away if needed.

Damage: 0 damage per swing.
Stun Duration: 2 Seconds (William stuns for 3 seconds).

Use: Unlike the other Melee Weapons, the Signal Flare is unique. When you equip it, use it to activate the flare, and then wave it using the flames to scare things off. This will stagger/scare wildlife (Wolf, Bear, etc) away, however; it proves to be ineffective against Bigfoot.

NOTE: As of the most recent update, Signal Flares do not seem to work properly. Bigfoot will raise his hand, as if afraid of them, but will continue to attack the Player all the same.

GTS Tracker

Description: A Long pole with a sharp point, that can be tracked via Satellite. This device will stop you from being lost, or help you track anything if you can impale it into the thing.

Damage: 0 damage per swing, 0 damage if thrown.

Use: Upon being thrown, the GTS will stick wherever it landed, and begin to give off a glowing Red sphere on the radar showing it's location. Naturally, this is useless if you miss, so make sure you hit your target true; but if you manage to hit Bigfoot; you'll be able to track him for several seconds. Eventually it will stop working, so they are best used during the day to track Bigfoot easier.
Choose your Weapon - Firearms

Firearms basics: EAT LEAD

In Bigfoot, weapons will deal additional damage if you aim down scope, and reduced damage if hip fired. So, it's recommended to aim down sight before shooting.

Naturally, a Headshot is stronger then a bodyshot... at least, against wildlife. On Bigfoot, damage calculations currently are not effected by this (with the exception of the Shotgun, which is based on pellets hit). So, if you can see Bigfoot, it's recommended you shoot for the body to ensure you hit him.

Rick gets the most benefit from using firearms; so it's usually best to give him the heavy hitting weapons.

Glock 17

Description: Standard issue pistol with a basic use. Overall, ineffective, but a good sidearm against animals... not recommended against Bigfoot.

Ammo type: 9mm Ammo
Firing Type: Automatic
Clip Size: 10
Max Reserve Ammo: 150
Damage: 2 damage per shot (Rick deals 3 damage).

Strategy: Because ammo is plentiful, and it's a rapid fire, if you have a decent trigger finger; it can deal decent damage. It's best used to set off explosives or to hunt animals however, using it against Bigfoot is not very effective.

Best used by: Rick, Thomas (as a detonator)

Remington 700

Description: A good reliable hunting rifle. Good against wildlife, bad against Sasquatches.

Ammo type: 7.62 Ammo
Firing Type: Single Shot
Clip Size: 5
Max Reserve Ammo: 255
Damage: 5 damage per shot (Rick deals 6 damage).

Strategy: The starting weapon is best used against any animals you see around the park, such as Moose, Deer, Raccoons, Foxes, and Wolves (not so much Bears). Against Bigfoot, it's better then nothing, but it really struggles to be effective. It will take days to take him down with this weapon.

Best used by: Anyone.

Remington 870

Description: A reliable shotgun designed as an alternative hunting weapon. Fantastic against larger wildlife and very useful against threats up close and personal.

Ammo type: 12 Gauge Shells
Firing Type: Single Shot
Clip Size: 5
Max Reserve Ammo: 50
Damage: Average damage is around 20-30ish, with 45 being a Meatshot (all pellets hit). At longer range, damage drops massively (you'll be dealing about 3-4 damage at long range). Rick will deal additional damage.

Strategy: The R870 can be found in some of the villages, and some of the small camps; and is going to be one of your best chances for taking down Bigfoot, thanks to it's high damage if used up close... the damage is rather inconsistent, as it's based on pellets; but if you get close and slug Bigfoot, the damage output is far worth the risk.

Best used by: All

AVM

Description: A large scope Sniper designed for long range precision hunting. Use with caution to take down even the largest game, but watch you don't pull the trigger on your fellow campers.

Ammo type: 7.62 Ammo
Firing Type: Single Shot
Clip Size: 10
Max Reserve Ammo: 255
Damage: 12 damage per shot (Rick deals 14 damage).

Strategy: Though Rick deals the most damage, due to the low fire rate and reload speed, it's best given to Jessica or William and used to get extra chip damage on Bigfoot. Also good against wildlife naturally.

Best used by: Jessica, William

M4

Description: The reliable rifle of the American Army, the M4 is the best weapon in the game for taking down Bigfoot and anything else; however, it must be used wisely, as ammo for it is scarce.

Ammo Type: 5.56 Ammo
Firing Type: Automatic
Clip Size: 25
Max Reserve Ammo: 255
Damage: 4 damage per shot (Rick deals 5 damage).

Strategy: This is the weapon you want to take down Bigfoot. Aside from explosives, this will be your primary source of damage output; use it well, and he will fall in no time. Recommended you give it to Rick or Thomas.

Best used by: All (Rick)

Flare Gun

Description: Generally designed to launch Signal Flares to attract helicopters or people to your location, the Flare Gun can be used as an emergency weapon, though it doesn't do much damage since it wasn't designed to be shot at people.

Ammo Type: Flare Shot
Firing Type: Single Shot
Clip Size: 1
Max Reserve Ammo: 11
Damage: 1 damage per shot
Stun Duration: 4 Seconds (William stuns for 5 seconds).

Strategy: As you can tell, the Flare Gun deals garbage for damage, so... why would you ever use it? The reason, is that the bright flash of the flare is powerful enough to blind Bigfoot for several seconds. A well placed shot in the face will render him immobile for around 4-5 seconds, plenty of time for you to unload your weapons into him along with your teammates. It's recommended to give the Flare Gun to William, as he gets extra stun time, but it's useful in the hands of every player.

Best used by: All (William)
Choose your Weapon - Explosives and Traps
A good impression

Explosive weapons dish out a high amount of damage output, and have the added benefit of stunning Bigfoot, just like the flare gun... however, they are limited by the number on the map; meaning you only get a couple of chances to use them. When used properly, they will help drop Bigfoot's massive HP down rapidly.

Generally speaking, Thomas makes the best use out of explosions for dps; but William also benefits, due to his increased Stun time. This means rationing the decision of damage vs stun time is important. Most of the time, it's better to give William traps (like Bear Traps, Fireworks and Car battery), and better to give Thomas raw explosives (Dynamite, Propane Tank, and Gas Canisters); to maximise their advantages.

NOTE: It should be important to note, that Stuns can become massively buggy in this current build. Sometimes when Bigfoot is hit with a Stun effect, it will seemingly do nothing to him. This seems to occur if you attempt to Stun Bigfoot while he is in the middle of a special animation (grabbing a player, charging, roaring, etc). If this happens, Bigfoot will become immune to all sources of Stuns, except Bear Traps.

Cameras

Description: A large Camera on a stick, used to survey the environment when combined with the Tablet. Use them to cover a wide range throughout the park, to stop Bigfoot from surprising you. keep away from Water, or they will malfunction. Also, be wary of placing them in obvious spots, as Bigfoot can and will destroy Cameras if they are out in the open.

Strategy: You get 6 Cameras to place around the Park, it's recommended to place them a decent distance away with a large vantage of the terrain. Cameras will blink Red on the map if they sense movement (Note: This applies to Bigfoot, animals, and other Players), but used properly, can be used as a safety net against Bigfoot or to hunt him down during the Day.

Drone

Description: A flying Drone with 4 propellers. Can be remote controlled using the Tablet. Keep out of water, or it will malfunction; requires batteries to use.

Damage Output: 1 damage on shock.
Stun Duration: 4 Seconds (William stuns for 5 seconds).

Strategy: The Drone can be remote controlled, though get it too far away from the Tablet holder, and it will lose it's signal. The advantage of the drone, is being able to fly, it can easily look around to search for Bigfoot. The downside to the drone, is that if you crash it, or Bigfoot sees it, he can break it very easily. The Drone does have a spark ability which can be used to temporarily stun Bigfoot, but it's not a very practical tool.

In addition, be careful of being blindsided while using the Drone. While flying it; you will hear no audio from your area, so it becomes super easy for Bigfoot to sneak up on you, if you aren't paying attention. This makes the Drone garbage in Single player, and only reliable in Online where someone can alert you if Bigfoot shows up.

Bear Trap

Description: Large, Metal, and designed to trap Bears, they can be used against other wildlife as well; you can set these bad boys anywhere, and trap them with Meat to make them harder to resist.

Damage Output: 40 Damage (Bigfoot lured into), 50 Damage (Bigfoot trapped by it).
Stun Duration: 4 Seconds (William stuns for 5 seconds).

Strategy: During the Day, Bigfoot will wander around and try to find food. If you lay Bear traps around and arm them with Meat; you may hear Bigfoot scream, and see his health drop massively. This is because he wandered into your Bear Trap. This is the recommended use of these; as it will deal more damage then simply luring him onto them.

Bear Traps can be used directly, by placing them in a path and getting Bigfoot to run over them; however, these will often deal less damage. Also note, that sometimes, after being trapped; Bigfoot will destroy the trap. In this case, it cannot be reused. Bigfoot often destroys traps that he runs over... but usually runs away from traps he is tricked into.

Fireworks

Description: Toilet Crackers and Sky candy; reliable for their amazing visual spectacles; they might be useful to take down Bigfoot in some way.

Damage Output: 0 Damage
Stun Duration: 6 Seconds (William stuns for 7 seconds).

Strategy: The Fireworks bright colours and loud audio won't deal any harm to Bigfoot, but they will stun him for several seconds, giving you the chance to unload your weapons and explosives into him. It's highly recommended you use these in conjunction with other weapons.

Gas Canister

Description: A Red Gasoline jerry can; usually used to supply vehicles with spare fuel.

Damage Output: 32 damage (Thomas will deal 34).
Stun Duration: 4 Seconds (William stuns for 5 seconds).

Strategy: Decent damage, and a stagger to boot. it's a good alternative to the Bear Traps if Bigfoot is pursuing you. Best used as a way to stun him for damage, and get him off your tail momentarily, as he'll often flee after the blast.

Car Battery

Description: A large metal box used to run a motorised vehicle.

Damage Output: 38 damage (Thomas will deal 40)
Stun Duration: 10 Seconds (William stuns for 11 seconds).

Strategy: The Car battery doesn't deal as much damage as other explosives, but upon detonation, will stun Bigfoot for the longest amount of time. Because of this; it's the best option for the last stands to stagger the beast for the take down.

Propane Tank

Description: Usually attached to BBQs; Propane Tanks are large metal canisters filled with flammable gas.

Damage Output: 45 damage (Thomas will deal 48)
Stun Duration: 6 Seconds (William stuns for 7 seconds).

Strategy: Second only to the dynamite for Big blasts; the Propane Tank is best used as a trap to punish Bigfoot for pursuing you. Alternately, you could lay it next to a body or trash can as a trap, and use a sniper to trigger it in the event Bigfoot comes strolling by.

Dynamite

Description: The Prospector's best friend; good old TNT is as reliable as can be; simply throw it, and it will stick to whatever it touches, you can activate the timer manually with left click before throwing, or lay it as a trap, and shoot it to detonate it.

Damage Output: 90 Damage (Point Blank, Timer used), 85 damage (Manual detonation). Damage reduced with distance from blast. (Thomas will deal 95 and 90 respectively).
Stun Duration: 6 Seconds (William stuns for 7 seconds).

Strategy: This is the most powerful weapon for raw damage; but it's a single use weapon; so make sure you don't miss. This weapon is best used as a follow up to a Bear Trap, or stagger from a flare, to ensure he doesn't walk away from the blast.
Capturing Bigfoot - Day time
When the Sun is up, you should be moving

During Bigfoot, the days will cycle relatively fast, and Bigfoot's AI pattern will change based on the time of day. During the Day, Bigfoot is rather passive, and will not attack you unless you actively run straight up to him. Even if you shoot at him, he'll usually flee instead of fighting you.

In general, Bigfoot attempts to avoid loud noise during the day; so sprinting or running through brush, shooting, explosions, or Radio static and the Megaphone; will cause Bigfoot to flee in another direction; this means when it comes to tracking Bigfoot, you want to avoid making noise during the day.

Because of this, Daytime is your cue to get to work, and rush to the villages and landscapes searching for inventory items to weaponize against Bigfoot; as you'll need as many as you can get to take him down...

If playing alone, use the Day to quickly move around and begin searching for new gear. If you find Safes, try to find Combinations. There are 3 Safes found on most Maps, and the combinations for them are usually in another key location not far from it's location.

Each Park will have the safes in different locations (usually villages) and all 3 parks have different layouts, so the more you play; the more you'll get accustomed to them. Items are generally found in the same locations; though the stuff can be shuffled (you might find 1 medikit, or some ammo in cupboards for example).

It's also wise to set up cameras and bear traps during the day; as these can be used to survey for, and get some extra damage on Bigfoot. Note: That if Bigfoot stumbles into a meat filled Bear Trap during the day; they will deal 50 damage, and he'll often flee without breaking them, meaning they can be reused again, as long as you can find them.

You can also hunt for animals to obtain more meat for traps if needed; it's wise to do this, since Bigfoot during the day will ALSO hunt for animals, and if he catches and eats them, he can heal a massive amount of health back.

Beyond the first day; be wary of exploring however, as you're not the only one who can set traps; you may soon find that Bigfoot has set traps in unfamiliar areas you've yet to visit. These traps can be escaped by pushing the prompt key as it flashes on screen. Success will free you dealing 1 damage, but failure will cause you to take around 25 damage, before being dropped out.

During the day, it's also wise to keep a look out for evidence that Bigfoot is real, this can include slash marks on trees and rocks, massive footprints, and torn up bodies.

Your primary goal, is to get the M4, AWM and Remington 870, as well as sources of explosive/stun to deal with Bigfoot. Once you have these, Daytime becomes the 'hunt for Bigfoot' time; as he will not pursue you, you should be pursuing him instead, this will prevent him from healing, and also make it easier to dish out damage, as he will not fight back during the day.

If a player has been killed by Bigfoot, it is possible to revive them, though this process is very time consuming, and difficult to accomplish. You will first need to find the Stonehenge; and bring the fallen's body there. This step is the easy part; Step 2 will see you need to gather 4 Totems, and bring them to the Stonehenge; if you manage this, place them around the body, to revive; this only affects 1 player inside the circle; and there are limited Totems, so be very careful; if Allies keep falling, eventually you will reach a last stand moment. Totems can generally be found on the roads.

When you are pursuing Bigfoot, use the Cameras; if you see one glow Red, instantly check it; if it's Bigfoot, now you know the general area he is hanging out in. Head there, and see if you can find him. Bigfoot will often seek food or garbage; so he will be hunting for animals often. If you catch sight of Bigfoot, it's recommended to lob a GTS tracker at him first; this way you'll have an easier time keeping on his trail... at least, until Nightfall...
Capturing Bigfoot - Night Time
Hunter becomes the Hunted

When the sun sets, and the prompt for "Night" comes up; be aware that things are about to get serious. Naturally, with it being dark; it's going to be much harder for you to see around you, making it easier for you to miss the evidence, and supplies... but to top that off...

When Night strikes, Bigfoot will actively begin pursuing the Players. While his method of tracking the players is likely noise dependent; he WILL find you, via scent trails no matter where you hide. So it's best to bunker down in a location, that forces him to come to you... this way you can control the engagement; and aren't at his mercy. It's important to note as well; that Bigfoot takes 20% reduced damage at night, so engagements at this time will almost always benefit him.

Bigfoot is attracted to noise at night; meaning he will find you if you are sprinting, or running through bushes. If he hears loud noise; such as gunshots, explosions, radio static, or Megaphone alerts; he will eventually come to investigate. Using these can allow you to control the engagement. Alternatively, if you want to try to lose Bigfoot; you can activate one of these somewhere, before fleeing on foot, though this isn't recommended.

Bigfoot will mostly rely on melee combat, and is very fast, able to easily keep up with the player while sprinting; so running from him is NOT an option. He WILL catch you, especially if he charges. The best places for engagement, are locations with doors, or towers with only one passage up; this way you can force Bigfoot down that narrow passage. You can take shots at Bigfoot as he approaches or works on the door, or set an explosive on the other side of the door, and detonate it; to both deal damage, and stun him for extra chance of damage as well.

Unless of course, you have a method to stun Bigfoot; as sources of damage like this, will often see him run if he suffers high enough damage. Because of this; the best way to deal with Bigfoot during the night, is to hide someplace, lure him in; stagger him, and then output as much damage as possible. If he doesn't retreat, parkour through a window/off a ledge, and put distance between you and him, before going for another stun. Using Megaphones found throughout the map to lure Bigfoot is very effective for using these traps; but keep in mind that if you use them too long, they will eventually burn out.

As long as you have a few Medikits, then taking damage is not an emergency. However, if you get knocked down, and have no health packs; Bigfoot will likely finish you off. If playing online with teams; this is a big reason why sticking together is important; Jessica can offer more healing, so it comes recommended for her to keep her teammates topped off.

Also, be aware; that Bigfoot is NOT stupid. If you rely on the same tactic, in the same area for too long, eventually he will pick up on it; and begin heading to areas you haven't explored to set traps of his own. This will make exploring on later days more dangerous; so it's better to move fast, and don't bunker down in one area too long. You CAN however bait him into similar traps and dangers constantly.

Be warned however, that Bigfoot will wise up to traps if you place them in a foolish way: For example, if Bigfoot gets stuck in a bear trap, and you lay another one right in front of him, he will NOT run over the trap, but will instead kick it, likely destroying it. Avoid wasting your traps in such a way and save them for other situations.

In general, it might take 7+ in-game days to take down Bigfoot; some might be able to take him down faster, but in general; this is an average number to anticipate.
Final Words
Naturally, the gameplay changes greatly when playing online, especially with a Human controlled Bigfoot, but hopefully this aids newer players who are curious as to what their primary goal should be, or are tired of getting bowled over by Bigfoot, and not understanding what they are doing wrong.

I'd like to thank Cyberlight Game Studio for creating this fantastic game concept.

And everyone for reading this guide. Get out there, and capture that vicious beast.

Excellent Beginner's Guide, albeit, I'd like to personally upgrade your work to Player's Handbook because it's such excellent Reference material, it'll probably be utilized over and over by players who are learning how to win!
