Duke was the first game I played on my first PC, but that was a lifetime ago; 1994 I believe. I didn't have a PC from 2005 until now, and I'm glad to see that he is still alive, after having been out of the industry for so long. Man, a lot of progression has taken place during that time away from the keyboard!

Ok, the above statement was composed perhaps back in 2019 or earlier. A lot of time has passed and a lot of things have taken place since then. The entire Gaming thing is a direct result of my gf suggesting that I get a hobby, because I hung out with her too much I guess during the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic Quarantine of 2019,20,21. Ironically, after discovering PUBG, hanging out with her too much would never be the problem again. Not hanging out with her enough became the new meta, and I was eventually asked to make a decision : Her or PUBG. Well, that was a little over a year ago. I now have 32 Steam Achievements in the game, my K/D is up about a full integer and I've surpassed 5600 hours total playtime according to Steam (personally, I think they might round up). The PUBG Servers are now down for 36+ hours for maintenance which will consist of the dumping of accumulated server side game cache and modifications necessary to usher in the new phase of Free To Play among other things. As if the hackers and cheaters haven't been bad enough already, I hope the new Anti Cheat System that's currently being uploaded is all they say it is and more as we are force marched forward into this new phase of PUBG's life. Perhaps I'll have some time to clean up this back office and return it and all it's splendor back into the Master Bedroom it once was. This of course is by request of my new gf (and all her splendor). We'll have to wait and see how that will all pan out.
