Whether it was from being bombed or the actual battle itself, many soldiers experienced PTSD after WW2. The experience, impressions and raw brutality were simply too much for many. When they returned home, many struggled with loud noises and triggers that could bring back painful experiences. Medic's were particularly vulnerable as they witnessed the ruthlessness of war, time and time again..
