Inhuman Conditions

Description
In a moment, I am going to tell you about the game Inhuman Conditions. This will require you to continue reading to learn more about the game, and how to properly play. React honestly. If you are a human, you have nothing to fear.

INHUMAN CONDITIONS
(A GAME OF COPS AND ROBOTS)

Inhuman Conditions is a game from the same minds and styles of the creators of Secret Hitler. It is a 5-minute, 2-player deduction-by-interview game involving an Investigator and a Suspect, in an attempt to determine whether that Suspect is a Human - as they claim - or a Robot in hiding. To accomplish this, players engage in a five-minute interview focused on a chosen topic.

"Patient" Robots are only looking to survive the interview and trick the Investigator into marking the Suspect as a Human, but will have difficulty answering questions on the chosen topic and will thus be evasive. "Violent" Robots, on the other hand, have an entirely different goal - be as overly talkative as possible in an attempt to fulfill internal conversational goals, thus deprogramming themselves and killing the Investigator and as many Officers as possible before getting "decommissioned". Humans, well... Humans will behave normally, of course. Hopefully.

If an Investigator mistakes a Human for a Robot, the Human gets sent to the Invasive Confirmation Unit and both players lose (with the Investigator taking on a rather shameful punishment in return). If a Robot successfully fools the Investigator, the Robot wins and the Investigator loses. If the Investigator is able to correctly identify a Suspect, the Investigator wins. Humans just want to have their humanity certified so that they can go home.

I do not own any part of this game. All cards were taken from the PNP version of the game (available on the game's website[robots.management]), and is available for free under Creative Commons license BY-NC-SA 4.0. There are also adapted rules and cards for playing the game over an online video call!

Keep in mind that there may be a few cards - two cards in particular in the Background deck - where the card's printing had shifted up past the card's border. This was how it was released in their PNP PDF document, and I did not make any changes to correct this. Also, bear in mind that since this is a PNP version of the game, all of the cards are in grayscale. I hope to either, by myself or with the assistance of others, someday recolor these cards to be as faithful to the physical edition as possible.

If you have any suggestions on improvements, or know of a way to possibly script this game, be my guest! I would love to know if anybody has used this workshop post to help develop and create a better version of the game that is better suited for TTS. I hope you enjoy this game as much as I do! -Arvo
