INTRODUCTION

The Pivot High Speed Train System marks the first step to an easy and affordable way of public transport which combines high speed and capacity for unelectrified routes. With its powerful Diesel-Electric Drivetrain it can reach speeds of over 200 km/hr while still maintaining a large range of over 900km in ideal conditions. With seating for 188 passengers in 3 bilevel cars it boasts excellent capacity with the highest level of comfort. With its tilt technology it is able to maneuver around corners at higher speeds and with more comfort than non tilting vehicles.

The Sawyer Island Express (SIEX) is ar rail service by the 69 public transport company operating between sawyer island and the Isle of Donkk on short range regional transport shuttle service. Due to its high acceleration and excellent capacity the Pivot High Speed Train System is usewd for these routes. The Service is mostly used by commuters and tourist which appreciate the comfortabel ride that the Pivot Sytem offers. With the Sawyer Island Airport Line the 69 public transport company hopes to reduce short distance flight traffic from the Isle of Donkk to the Oneil Airbase thus reducing carbon emissions and noise pollution.

COCKPIT OVERVIEW

The Pivot High Speed Train System is equipped with an automated speed controll unit so all you have to do is set the desired speed and wait for ur train to reach it this significantly reduces the workload on the driver and thus increases safety. Additionally the level of outputpower can be set by the driver to adjust acceleration and topspeed in favour of less power usage.

COUPLING PROCEDURE

Step 1 : Activate the coupling switches on both cars that you want to connect

(Display of different coupling switch)

Step 2 : Push the cars together and wait for both connectors to connect

Step 3 : Connect the data and power cable. Be sure to turn off both cockpits before doing this or the train might start moving

For optimal performance run the train in a 3 car variant with one power car one middle car and one controll car like the following picture

Found the reason - the brakes system on carriages only works using one side's connector, so I just swapped the one it used. (I also added a separate brake switch)

Btw, pretty sure an update has broken this somewhere down the line as the carriage brakes are permanently on and there doesn't seem to be a composite signal coming from either the front or back cars to turn them off. (at least in my testing lol)

Its a good train but the two downsides are that there's no heating in the control cabin, and it hasn't got a switch track function. Other than that it's an amazing train.

@Efexjuxix this is a farly old build of mine so i didnt think of that back then. I have already implemented it in my newer train. Maybe i will remaster this train one day with all the knowledge and expereince ive gathered since i made it.

@Marmor1 Well, isnt that like a standard by now? Maybe take it as a suggestion for your next build.
Marmor1  [author] 3 Dec, 2023 @ 8:36am
@Efexjuxix there is no function in the cockpit for that so you will just have to get out and change it by hand
Efexjuxix 2 Dec, 2023 @ 3:29pm
How to change signals tho?

@Jack Mccubbin increasing the power output above 100% is generally not recommendet bc of the excessive ammount of wheelslip it creates. If you lower the power down to 100% ist should be able to accelerate normally without wheelslip if all the cars are connected.
