HOMEFRONT

Description
HOMEFRONT is a mod which brings the United States at large into a vanilla-compatible 2035 timeline. Features include the addition of the US National Guard, Civilians, new uniforms, and Guerrillas for all your Red Dawn needs.

Factions
US National Guard: Inspired by the US Army in the era of Arma 2, this faction combines 2010s-era SCARs with modern gear. Also comes in a light variant for missions requiring a more civil usage. This faction can also be appropriate to be used for 2020s-era US forces transitioning between what is seen in Arma 2 and Arma 3. They also work pretty well as a NATO 2020s faction.

Unorganized Militia: Typically an armed civilian, these men typically carry civilian versions of military rifles, and may have chest rigs. They can blend in with civilians, but are generally lightly armed. The Paramilitaries sub-faction has plate carriers and optics. The Unorganized Militia faction is available in INDFOR and OPFOR in addition to their standard BLUFOR configuration. Vehicles will be of civilian type, but a good observer will be able to spot some field modifications.

Civilians (US): A fully fleshed-out civilians faction, using all American names and identities. Class types range from everyday civilians, to various degrees of formal attire, to assorted jobs. The "Hunter" and "Sharpshooter" classes are intended for use in special gamemodes, firing drills, and other such scenarios when played by a human. Warning! If controlled by AI, these units will shoot at any and all living things.

Police: A set of police units, using gear that exists in vanilla Arma 3.

GriffiN Services: Catch-all bad guys in suits, available in standard, light, tactical, and VIP. I made them for an Epstein raid op and figured they would fit right into this mod.

Revolutionaries: A generic OPFOR, this faction is intended to be a catch-all for a CSAT-backed South/Central American military or paramilitary group. Works on all terrains from Sefrou-Ramal to Livonia. Armed with the Katiba family of rifles. Gear is limited, so if you are looking to scavenge, you might not just be able to search one unlucky guard...

Guerillas: WOLVERINES! This faction takes the form of a civilians wielding various OPFOR weapons, with light gear. Three total sub-factions exist, with the default carrying Chinese CSAT weapons. Other variants carry AK rifles and Katiba rifles. Special considerations include improved camouflage values, as well as a modified list of faces for this faction.

Weapons
CAR-4: Civilian version of the M4A1, in single-fire, loaded with 30 round STANAGs by default.
CAR-4 .22LR: Rechambered in .22LR.
HK556A2: Civilian version of the SPAR-16S, available in single-fire, and loaded with 30 round STANAGs by default.
HK556A2 .22LR: Rechambered in .22LR.
HK308A2: Civilian version of the SPAR-17, available in single-fire, and loaded with 20 round 7.62 mags.
Mk-1 CMR: Version of the Mk-1 EMR limited to single-fire only. Often seen in shooting sports competitions.
M249 SAW: Modified version of the LIM-85 from APEX, this weapon only comes with a single rate of fire option, and loads red tracer magazines by default. Used by the US National Guard.
RAK Series: Civililan versions of the AK platform derived from the AK-74. As a bonus, the RAK-74N 7.62 is also available as the full-auto AK-74N 7.62, since I just think it looks hella cool.

Uniforms
Fatigues [Green]: SFIA Pilot Uniform, available to be worn by all sides, and comes in rolled and tank-top variants. Often seen worn by Revolutionaries.
Fatigues [Camo]: Variant of the Fatigues that uses the SFIA camo pattern. Can be seen worn by Revolutionary special forces.
Casual Clothes: Available in multiple variants, this series of uniforms combines the civilian jeans seen in the Art of War DLC with various shirt colors. I may add more in the future, but it is very easy to clutter up the list by doing so.

Suggestions and Terrains

Project America: Limestone, Fl.
Livonia
Altis/Stratis. Especially the pine forests of northwest Altis.

Thanks To
Lowaltitude for the name of the (as of v1.3) CAR-4 rifle, a civilian version of the Aegis M4A1.

Good suggestion! I haven't touched this mod in a while (the Aegis M4 wasn't out yet), but I probably should get ideas for an update going.

Any plans for other semi-auto only variants of common rifles? Like the Aegis M4s, or AK series rifles?

Just got to that one. Also adding some new helicopters as well now that I have a framework from NATO Improved :D

I get the following error, whenever I launch the game:

No entry
'bin/config.bin/CfgVehicles/BNI_AH_64E.scope' .

And when I load a map:

No entry 'bin/config.bin/CfgVehicles/Heli_Attack_03_base_F_d1.side'/

On my to-do list. Anything you notice that stands out as broken so I can fix it first?

Amazing mod! Could you please fix the config with the update of NATO Improved?
