Lore:

A small sub species of the Grind Worm; both share a common ancestor.

Unlike Grind Worms; Tunneller Worms feeds on carrion and animal carcasses; locating their food by either following Grind Worms or by coming up to the surface and smelling the air to find it.

Tunneller Worms are prey to larger animals and have a protective shell to make them harder to eat.

These animals also have a short lifespan of 7 years and become sexually mature adults at 1 year old.

Tunneller Worm reproduction is simple; during the summer they mate multiple times with as many others as possible; and give live birth to small babies a few days later that can already survive on their own.
