Description

Adds titles to the player faction you can grant to your pawns with the Staff of Royalty or at any throne
In order to craft the Staff of Royalty at a smithy you will need the Smithing technology

Note: unfortunately the 1.4 version is unsupported, if anything breaks you can download an older version from the github

Come check out Crowns and Regalia my other mod which adds more Crowns.

Check the discussions for suggestions to add your own titleset to the main mod
Translations:

Features:
  • Grant your pawns titles at any throne or with the Staff of Royalty (warranty void if used as bashing weapon)
  • Preset custom title lists, based off real noble or imperial titles.
  • Custom titles for your own pawns, finally your supreme leader can be be called God-Emperor
  • Mod Settings to change between title sets
  • Custom Title Names available at any throne! (New UI with 1.4)
  • Vanilla Inheritance (Enable in mod settings), you can set a pawns heir by selecting them and right clicking a throne
  • Vanilla Factions Expanded - Empire Integrations (Sophiamundan Titleset with their Icons, All titles show icons on infocard, these require it to be active and dont include any files themselves)

Title Editor Update:
  1. New Title editor that allows you to override the title labels, whether it can be inherited, can use meditation focus, what icon it uses and what expectations it has.

How to use Custom Titles:
  1. Use the "Title Manager" button at any Vanilla (patches can be made for modded) Throne, then press rename on the title you want to change, press update titles to refresh the list so it applies in game.
  2. If you subscribed before the update make sure steam has updated the mod, you can tell because the preview image has changed in the modlist

Titlelists:
  • Kingdom (Default)
  • Empire (Same as kingdom except the King is the Emperor)
  • Roman (Late)
  • Roman (Alt), provided by Alexey Stukov#2163, it is the better one in my opinion
  • Old Norse, Old Russian titles also provided by Alexey Stukov
  • Sophiamundian Titles (Vanilla Shattered Royalty, with a few bonus titles to fill out)
  • Holy Roman Empire Titles
  • NEW:
  • Sophiamundian Titles (VFE) (requires VFE-Empire, has all the role icons)
  • Titlelists have a priority above the default name but are overwritten by your custom names.

Compatibility & Known Issues:
  • When a pawn inherits a title you may get a lot of letters for every title rank they went up by
  • VFE-Empire: the custom scenario won't work as intended due to it giving the VFE title to your pawn as a title of your own faction and not the Empire, however to work around this you can start the game without the mod active and activate it later.

Credits:
  • Rick G. for the staff texture, is an absolute lad
  • Brrainz for the absolute godsend that is Harmony
  • Alexey Stukov and Sl4vP0weR for being cool dudes
  • AaronCRobinson for the SettingsHelper Library

Hey so quick question about the staff, when I try to have my pawn use it to grant a title the only one that shows is the lowest one. Any ideas on why or how to allow the others to be given that way?

I made a quick patch so it should work with Nice Bill Tab now, also fixed an issue with the royal staff only showing one title

It took me a while to test, because another mod must have updated and wouldn't let me generate maps, so I had to pare down the list to isolate that.

After I got that sorted however, I did manage to find the mod causing conflict with yours I think. It's called "Nice Bill Tab". Between the two, I'd rather have the titles, so I'll run without that mod, but it would be nice if they could play together.

I can't replicate this on either my full modlist or a test one, do you have a mod that changes the bill UI or any other suspicions? does removing this fix it? I'd appreciate a hugslib log.

Somehow, when this mod is installed, none of my workbench bills are select-able. They all appear, but I can't click on them to add a bill. Any thoughts?

Is there a mod to make noble pawns not useless?
Canon  [author] 13 Jul @ 9:38pm
Not currently I have plans to when I do work on this again, but if you're comfortable with basic xml modding, the title lists are just defs you can just copy and paste with some changes

Idk if this was asked before or said elsewhere. But is there a way to save and import your own title collection so you don’t have to remake them all every new game?
Canon  [author] 11 Jul @ 7:43am
You can do that, they're just mostly the same as vanilla ones
