First commissioned in 3028, the Trident-Class Frigate has quickly earned a reputation as a fierce and deadly foe across the system due to the implementation of Plutonia Universalis’ latest railgun systems given the name of Project: Sledgehammer and rumored reports of stealth tech on certain models.

Nonetheless, the Trident-Class' official role is to squash any rebellions or pirate threats to the Proxima Federation. However, due to the large degree of unification within the Federation, such threats are usually far and few between with the actual role of the Trident-class usually being recon missions into OWI territory to make sure they stay within their borders using tactical jumps to stay just outside of sensor range.

Armament wise, the Trident-Class mounts 4 artillery cannons, 2 assault cannons, and 3 Sledgehammer-Type Railgun emplacements. This, combined with decoys located in non-critical sections of the ship allow the Trident to disable enemy ships quickly while taking minimal damage herself.

All captains should note that the gravity rating of the Trident-Class is advised to be 0.10g’s or less. She isn’t an atmospheric dogfighter. Looking at you Larry. Regardless, the Trident-Class has reliably served the Proxima Federation for years without much incident.

One Final Note: Anybody who refers to the Trident-Class as a “Hot Rod” due to the massive strain on its power grid WILL be court-martialed.
