A studious Usupa'ir who rejected the mechanical path of his people, Reed is one of the few remaining organic-orientated Usupa'irs, anthropomorphic owls of the tyto variety, left on Earria. The greater majority of his kin saw fit to convert themselves into boronic lifeforms in efforts to save themselves from the universe-wide fallout that followed after the fracturing of the Keystone Tree. "Fleshened" droids gilded in billowy green flames, they are now. Reed himself is a good friend of Debrian and often finds himself aiding the draconic immortal in his many scientific endeavors. Debrian has actually played a good hand in keeping an eye out and a hand ready for the Usupa'irs other than Reed who rejected the mechanical path. Very few in number, they've allowed themselves to be stationed in a neighborhood in one of Onshivel's villages specifically tailored to their needs. Reed has opted out of living there, however. He is living in the city a couple of blocks down from where Giselle studies. Aside from the typical desire to live among others, that which his kin do not share, there lies another reason as to why Reed has chose to live away from them. He is being tracked down by the metallic or the "true" Usupa'ir due to treason. They were not pleased and very much against Reed convincing the ones who followed him away from the mechanical path. Foolish dribble, they've deemed it.
