TREKORION: UFS Meteor early game corvette

In 1 collection by duty
TREKORION United Federation of Sectors v1
14 items
Description
4 slot starter. $64k credits, 16k iron, and 4k titanium to construct. Based off the Amarillo class from the starfleet museum collection. Took ~45 minutes of drone mining in the starter sector to build the first one.

Meteor class starships are refit, sub-light transports brought into service after the primary fleet was lost to the Xsotan. Their armaments, power, and propulsion systems have been heavily modified in the nearly 200 years since the Calamity, but the primary hull has remained unchanged.

Notable ships of the line:
UFS Fortunate 010401. Constructed in sector -3:-449. Decommissioned in -1:-420.
UFS Success 010402. Constructed ins sector -1:-444. Decommissioned in -43:-371.
UFS Windfall 110404. Constructed in sector 2:-451. Decommissioned in -43:-371.
UFS Adventurous 110404. Constructed in sector 2:-451. Decommissioned in -10:-439.
UFS Observer 110509. Constructed in sector -10:-439. Decommissioned in -43:-399.

These were hearty, early game starships and made decent work completing mining, scout, and trade missions - and clearing pirate sectors along the iron belt. They were too small to continue service into the naonite belt and were gradually phased out for 1105 and 1106 modular frigates.

Same, I just started a new game and am harvesting my initial resources... rn I'm using something that doesn't even resemble a ship because I was just speeding thru the tutorial to get back up to date with 2.0 changes after a long hiatus. Now I can do it in style :)
