Description
- Current map version: koth_fracture_v2 -

A cliffside King of the Hill map.

Both teams have a small base with 2fort-style battlements for high-ground offence, such as Snipers and forward Engineer nests. The Control Point offers moderate cover from the battlements, but is otherwise very exposed, necessitating a strong proactive defense. From the high-ground, clever Demomen and Soldiers can sticky/rocket jump around the side over the perilous drop, and either land on the control point or even the enemy team's own battlements.

The Control Point and the team's bases are connected by a large underground route that offers a path between both spawns and a door to the cliffside beneath the Control Point. Sneaky Spies and Engineers can infiltrate the enemy's base and flank them before securing a hold on the objective.

This map could be easily converted to Arena or CTF, if there is any interest in seeing those versions. I have some ideas about how that could work, so maybe I'll work on them. Let me know if you'd like to see other gamemodes.

Special thanks to The Crazy GFL! They're a fun and friendly group with a TF2 server that has a variety of gamemodes and fun plugins, and helped a lot with testing and providing feedback.

(shameless self-plug but I also stream TF2 and other games on Twitch[www.twitch.tv])

Kinda basic visually. The point is also suuuuper open.

Just giving my 2 cents again ^^'
Still feel like the control point platforms defy gravity a little bit too much and could use vertical beams reaching to the ground.
And since you're mentioning CTF, I feel like this map would play rather poorly for the mode. Depending on where you place the intels, someone could very easily bring it back by just going underground the whole time (and they'd never have to resurface to do so), which leaves fewer counterplay and would probably lead to very fast Captures. I also feel like the mid-platform would become a large empty area in CTF as no player would be drawn to it anymore, so that'd probably be something that needs tweaking.
But I must repeat, incredible work the map looks very promising !

Hey there, I have made some changes along the lines of your suggestions in regards to the floaty platforms, as that was something I was working on anyway. Before I start converting this map into another gamemode like CTF, I wanted to refine this version first.

If you're still working on this, my only nitpick is that some ramp (namely near spawn and below mid) feel very "floaty" and could use some reinforcement. I also feel like there should be a bigger, clearer indication that everything below is a deathpit.

Incredible stuff. I really wish I could playtest this with a full server. This looks fun as hell, beautiful too.

also the map isn't complicated at all, the main path to the point is highlighted with the "battlements" and "control point" signs. now the point is slightly elevated which makes it hard to see for the first time, but there is no way someone couldn't find it for 7 minutes.

i think this is a really good map with lots of ways to approach the point, flank routes. I really like how the pit near the point creates so much tension for both teams. the decor is also on point. 9/10

Like your other maps also too complicated for new ppl on map. When i started play on your map with some my friends we spend ~7 minutes to find where is first point. (cp_city_district)
But in the other side u really make good ambient on your maps and it's cool to play.

You really like way too complicated maps
