USE Set Apparel Draw Order

Description
USE – Set Apparel Draw Order (v1.6)
Fine-tune how apparel is drawn and tweak per-node visuals, so your pawns look exactly the way you want.

What this mod does
[]Lets you reorder apparel drawing for displays and stands, fixing clipping and layering issues. []Adds a powerful per-pawn Render tab to adjust the pawn’s render tree (offsets, scale, layer, flip, etc.). []Non-destructive: visuals only—no stat changes. []Save-friendly and light on performance.

Where to use it (v1.6 UI)
In v1.6, the controls live in two different places:
[]Pawn → Inspect pane → [Render] tab (render-tree editing) []Outfit Stand → Inspect pane → [App] tab (drag-to-reorder apparel)

Pawn: Render-tree editing ([Render] tab)
Open any pawn’s Inspect pane and click [Render]. You’ll see a Render Tree view and detailed controls.
[]Select a node in the Render Tree to edit it. []Use the right-side controls:
[]Enabled — toggle your override on/off for the selected node. []Offset — adjust X / Y / Z positional offsets. []Layer — add a layer offset (draw later = appears on top). []Pivot — set pivot X% / Y%. []Angle — rotate the node (°). []Scale — scale the node (%). []Flip — flip the node display. []Alpha — change transparency for previewing. []Show all nodes — reveal hidden nodes for inspection.
    []Actions:
[]Save Node — save overrides for the current node. []Reset Node — revert the current node to defaults.
    • Reset All — clear every override on this pawn.
Tips
• Hold Shift + Mouse Wheel for fine adjustments on sliders.
• Press Ctrl + R to restore slider ranges to their defaults.
• “Value Range” shown on the tab reflects limits you can tune in Mod Settings.

Outfit Stand: Apparel order ([App] tab)
Interact with an Outfit Stand and open the [App] tab.
[]Drag items up/down to change draw priority. Items higher in the list are drawn later (on top). []Click Auto Order to auto-sort if you want a quick baseline.
  • Changes apply immediately; the stand’s graphics are recached on the fly.

Advanced: numeric order on the Stand’s [Contents]
On the Outfit Stand’s default [Contents] tab, each apparel also shows a numeric Draw Order field. Enter a value to nudge relative draw depth precisely (useful for tricky pieces). This works alongside the [App] tab’s drag-and-drop.

Mod Settings
Open Mod Settings → USE Set Apparel Draw Order.
[]Functional on every pawn? — enable functionality beyond colonists. []Disable head apparel when in bed — prevents headgear from rendering while lying in bed to reduce clipping. []Enable Free mode — unlocks broader editing freedom in the Render tab. []DrawOffsetDivider — scaling divider used when converting order/offset into final draw depth.
  • Slider ranges — customize allowed min/max for Offset (X/Y/Z), Layer, Angle, and Scale. (These define the “Value Range” shown in the [Render] tab.)

Compatibility
[]Works with vanilla and most modded apparel. Mods that completely replace render logic or use custom shaders may ignore some overrides. []Safe to add to existing saves. Removing the mod reverts visuals to the game’s default order.

FAQ
Q. Where are the controls in v1.6?
A. Use [Render] on pawns to tweak the render tree. Use the Outfit Stand’s [App] (and optional [Contents]Draw Order) to reorder apparel.

Q. Does this affect stats or armor coverage?
A. No—only draw order and visual transforms.

Q. My change didn’t show up immediately.
A. The stand/pawn usually refreshes instantly. If not, switch tabs or reselect the pawn/stand to force a quick recache.

Changelog
v1.6
[]Added a new pawn [Render] tab for full render-tree editing. []Moved apparel ordering to the Outfit Stand’s [App] tab; added precise Draw Order input on the Stand’s [Contents] tab.
  • Range customization and quality-of-life tweaks (fine-tune shortcuts, reset options).

1.6 update appears to cause certain rendering functions to call each frame, seemingly ignoring the graphics cache in the process. I've done lots of searching in WRelicK's discord to find out this mod was the cause. Feel free to reach out for more info~!

Same here :(

I fixed it by manually uninstalling the mod and the "pulse weaponry" mod that popped up in the console

@Pajamaman
Can you post log and used mod list?

All pawns become naked after i turned on the option to adjust other pawns. They are still naked no matter what option or settings i changed
