The Lanze-class is ASD's solution for system security and patrol duties. Cheap and easy to produce, it is reasonably sturdy for its size and packs a good deal of firepower, as well as a jump drive for medium range interception.

Lanze-class patrol crafts are a common sight across the Golden Fields sector, though a few have been exported to the Federation to enforce the law in backwater systems.
On some occasions, such crafts can be carried by larger ships to provide fire support or harass enemy assets, but their use remains otherwise limited.
Still, it has proven quite efficient over the years and is still a go-to for systems that cannot afford larger ships.
